  1. I have a multiple entry TR visa from the US that I will extend 30 days tomorrow. I normally enter with a retirement visa. This will be my first border/visa run. My priority is cheap and quick but failing this, enjoying my time is priority. Flying out in the morning and back in the evening is best. Who doesn't like sleeping in their own bed? but not necessary. Flying out in the afternoon, spending the night and flying back the following morning is also okay. Ground travel might be okay as long as i am not spending many hours in a crowded bus, van or car. A train is an interesting idea and i might spend many hours on a train if it proves interesting or a land border crossing is somehow better. So, let us hear some ideas...
  2. haha! what happened? i leave for a couple days and we have covered the scooter vs motorcycle in just about all variations... glad you all had fun! for the record, i have been driving motorcycles all of my life and my first scooter accident was downhill on a very curvy (fun) road, now i remind myself that i am on a scooter not a motorcycle... haha!
  3. Do you know the process without one?
  4. To get a Thai motorcycle license do i need to have a motorcycle endorsement on my home country license?
  5. happy to provide you with some entertainment... the affidavit went away only because the US embassy in Thailand quit doing it (or so i am told). so, if i can get the embassy here to complete it then i can bring it with me. i am just not wanting to transfer in to a thai bank if i don't have too...
  6. what if i get an affidavit of income from the consulate in LA or DC before i arrive in thailand?
  7. i have always done the Non-Imm O-A in my home country which accepts a notarized pension letter as proof of income. i am considering a visa exempt arrival and getting my Non-Imm O in country. will they accept my notarized pension letter in country? (our embassy no longer does this in thailand) or will i have to open a thai bank account? the non-imm O-A also requires a full year worth of insurance. if i get the non-imm O in country am i still required to get the insurance? thank you all...
