For anyone in Chiang Mai interested in actually seeing this amazing scooter up close and personal there is a Yamaha display on the ground floor of Central Festival this weekend. There is a lovely black/gray Xmax 300 on display. The bad news is the people there are devoid of English speaking skills so getting usefull information is next to impossible. I.E. are there any available now for sale in Chiang Mai, if not how long of a wait, how much of a deposit if you order one, how much is a topbox and mounting bracket. I even used Google translator and I might as well have been talking to the wall. Oh well, it was nice to get to see one again and appreciate how nice it is.
Read somewhere that the top case and bracket for Xmax will set you back at least 11,000bht.

The form is required by immigration when you are reporting staying in the Kingdom more than 90 days, whether they take it or not is up to them, i would suggest you
have it on hand when you do your 90 day report or face the possible consequences
but as they say up to you, and i believe Patong office still requires it, and a copy of
your passport and your TM6?
The fact that at the moment they seem to be letting the lack of it go does not mean
they will be so lax in the future.
Not had any paperwork for a long time and the consequences are what?
Not a good idea to read these forums where so many people have so many problems, Phuket immigration is so easy, not had one problem in 8 yrs!

Can you please clarify what you are on about regarding a 90 day report? since when do you need any paperwork other than your passport, previous notification slip, can't remember the last time I needed the TM47 form.

My last 90 day only required my passport plus previous receipt of notification.

Looking after friends house and discovered water bill which expired on the 13th of this month, how long have you got to pay before they disconnect?

Why not apply for a re-entry permit at the same time as your retirement extension on 12th Sept (if this is a reasonably straightforward procedure at your local immigration office)?
Yea will be doing this and it's very easy at Phuket immigration.

If you get a re-entry permit after you get your new extension it would be valid until October 2nd 2018.
Excellent, thanks for the info.

If you got the re-entry permit now it would no longer be valid after you get your new extension. If you did get one it would only allow an entry up to the date your current extension ends.
I'm a bit slow on these things lol I'll wait until after getting my new extension which will expire 2nd Oct 2018 I assume the re entry permit will have the same expiry date.

Makes no sense to get a re-entry permit now (valid for entry until 2nd Oct and permission to stay until 2nd Oct.).
Wait until you have you extension on Sep 12.
That's what I thought, thanks.

Hope this is not a silly question, my extension runs out on the 2nd Oct, I'm off to the Malaysian GP on the 30th Sept returning on the 1s Oct, is it best to get re entry permit now or wait until I have new extension which I intend doing on the 12th Sept.

Went to AIS yesterday, the young lad Seems to have sorted it out, no more messages well so far anyway.

Seems to be lots of problems with phone providers here, I am unable to use my phone because as soon as I put credit on within a few hrs it has gone from unwanted sms messages, AIS must if passed my number on to 3rd parties who then send messages which tskevyour credit and yes grrrrr

Gotta wonder is they're preloading them on unsold SIM cards, or it the person selling you the SIM is getting a kickback by submitting numbers as they're being activated and installed on a phone.
That's what I have been thinking, probably AIS giving out numbers and earning commission.

You should be able to dial * 1 3 7 (send) on AIS / DTAC / TRUE / CAT to have these add-on paid services cancelled. The Thai message boards recommend sending the code several times, over a couple of days, to make sure it works.
Oh, and if you're getting the *same* BrightClub sms when you get a new number then someone you know is submitting your number to them.
That's not possible as I received the brightclub4 message before anyone new my new number, have stopped one by reporting as spam!

Yamaha Xmax 300 coming to Thailand?

Problem is aftermarket bracket will probably look cheap and not good, massive room under seat so could always wear small back pack or have bag on back.
