  1. You can pay with a credit or debit card, you'll be charged in Stirling.
I've heard that some people had problems using a Thai debit card, but not credit cards, I don't know that for sure.

One thing I did manage to understand was that the card can be used in UK ATM's so I would think it will be okay but like you I'm not sure.

  2. Ah thats great! Personally the last time I went to BSR I decided to ditch the float and coil feeder method halfway through and just pack a ball of lum straight on the hook and shake it getly in the water near the dock (where fish hang out feeding off bait scraps). Keep in mind that the fish here are mainly from the old pond, ready to tangle your line in the pylons.

The trick here is to steer the fish away from the dock as soon as you set the hook.
Not for BSR we are going to Cha Am fishing park(Not tourist park, Thai fishery with huge fish for 200bht per day.

  3. I'm a bit late to the table, having only just discovered this, after having just subscribed to HD Prime for a month, partly to watch World Cup on UK channels.

My one question.........what's the catch? Free UK TV? No registration?I haven't spotted any advertising on the site. Sounds too good to be true but I'm not complaining!

It's full of adverts between programmes.

  5. Good to hear.

I wasn't paying enough attention as 1) I have dogs, so am unable to travel and 2) I pay an agent to deal with these things on my behalf - so (shame-faced), I only have to worry myself with the Immigration offices latest requirements when extending my retirement 'visa'....
If you do what you are supposed to do you will never have a problem here, I'm problem free after 9 yrs so far, may it continue.

  6. Hi there!

I'm considering getting a small cyst on the side of my head removed in Thailand. It isn't that big, but big enough so that I keep my hair fairly long on the sides so it won't be visible. Does anyone know how much I could be looking at for this, and would it be advisable to do in Bangkok or Chiang Mai?

Also, what would the procedure be for this? In the UK I guess I would go to the GP first and get referred. What about Thailand?

I had this done a few yrs back in Phuket the total cost was 13,000bht

I walked into the hospital saw a doctor and within approx 2 hours the Cyst was removed.

  7. On display yesterday at Bangkok Phuket Hospital was what appeared to be a Shelby Cobra. If it was genuine the worth would have to be over a mill dollars.
My dream car when I was a lad,
Think I've seen one of them parked near my house, black and looked very powerful!
