  1. Went there last tuesday at 10-00.  Got ticket number 184.

Picked up by 2-30 next day. Rumour during pick up was that 600 applied on the Tuesday with some having to apply again the next day.

    Can't confirm that!!

I now have 7 back to back visas, 1 from my home country, 2 at Savankavet, 1 from Penang then 3 from Vientienne, I need 1 more before getting a new Passport.

Is it safe to go back to Vientienne?

  2. As long as you are an Australian citizen and remain on the Electoral roll you can vote.

You are right that they don't give a rat's arse about us OAPs.

What they have done to the OAP over the last 3 or 4 years is nothing short of criminal.

The minister for social services, on a salary of $200,000 + per year to stand up and declare that OAPs  on $23,000 per year

will be better off with their $6.00 increase per fortnight is an EFFN <deleted>.

where do these overpriced tickets get sold ? I have never seen an overpriced ticket anywhere in BKK. Because there are usually 3 or 4 vendors right next to each other (Thai market saturation at work...just like 7-11s right across the street from each other), so anyone overcharging is clearly going to be spurned. I just don't get it..puzzled.

You can't buy a ticket for less than 100 Baht at the vendors  opposite the old Lottery office on Ratcher [what ever it's called] near Khaosan road.
