Vipa house Chiang Mai, Loi Kroh soi 1. Nice hotel in quiet soi but walking distance to the old city, the night bazaar and Warorot market. About 10-15 minutes from airport and train station.

Bang Krachao is the green lung of Bangkok. It's like an peninsula in the south of Bangkok across the Chao Praya river. There are no high rises or traffic jams but quiet roads and local communities set in a lush green environment. The best way to explore this part of Bangkok is by bike.
Video shows:

On the 5th floor of Terminal 21 shopping mall there is a large food court named Pier 21. There are a lot of food stalls present providing good quality food in a nice and clean environment at low prices. Nice to have lunch and escape the heat of the city for a while. At the back you can sit next to the window to have a good view of Bangkok.
Don't forget to order some mango with sticky rice!!

Flight SL 789 with Thai Lion air from Nakhon si Thammarat to Bangkok. Just after take off the shore line is clearly visible with large pieces of pristine beach such as near the village of Phanom. After the islands of Samui, Phangan and Koh Tao become visible. Near hua Hin a large thunder cloud is visible after which the pilot is decending to Bangkok.

The rainy season has not stopped yet in Bangkok. Just got out of MBK walking back to the skytrain when it started to rain. It rained so much even the entrance of the skytrain had small pools of water.

When I open the curtains at 7 am to enjoy the view of Bangkok there is not much to see. All the high rises are covered in a thick layer of fog which slowly gets burned away by the sun.

If you do not want to walk short distances in Bangkok you can make use of the motorbike taxi. Most of the time you can find them at corners of a long soi, junction or BTS station. For 10 or 20 bht you can hop on for a kilometer or so. It's nice when you don't want to get sweaty but if it's safe.....

Early evening back from the market to the hotel. The songthaew plays loud music while we are stuck in traffic on the main road in Nakhon si Thammarat. This is Thailand.

Just in time to be inside the condo before the rain started. All of Bangkoks skyline disappears in the tropical downpour.

Bayoke tower 360 degree view of Bangkok. Entrance 350 bht during daytime which gives you access to the 77th floor (inside) and 84th floor (outside revolving deck) and free fruit buffet on 17th floor. Lots of Chinese people on 77th floor so do make that trip up to the 84th.

Perfect view of Bangkok from Lebua state tower. Drinks come at a steep price. 400 bht for a beer and 690 for a cocktail, all ex VAT and service charge. But the view is to die for.

Thai BBQ restaurant Chiang Mai. On top of the hot plate they put a big piece of pork fat. You can choose the meats you like and bbq it. The hot pot is used to cook fish and vegetables. It's fun!!

Morchit bus station. On arrival from Khorat I made some quick shots of the massive bus station. The station mainly serves north and north eastern destinations. The terminal has 2 floors and many different bus companies sell their tickets.

Evergreen resort Chaweng beach, Koh Samui is a medium sized resort. There are rooms in the main building and bungalows near the swimming pool available. The resort is located at a soi just back from the main road in the centre of Chaweng. Because of the location it's just 2 minutes walking to central plaza shopping centre but very quiet.
Rooms are clean with large balcony en decent bathroom. The bed is a bid on the hard side. Big closet to store the suitcase. to get to the beach you'll have to follow a narrow path via a connecting resort. It's about 200 meters through a beautiful garden.
I paid about 30 euros for the room. Given the location it's a decent price but for better facilities and luxury you'll have pay more in Chaweng. -

This guy was lucky when he crossed Sukhumvit road with his food cart. Not the most convenient place to pick up your stuff from the street.

Small but nice local market close to bTS onnut. If you stay in the neighborhood it's an easy place to buy fresh fruit or some food. There's also a small food court present so you can eat on the spot.

Again some nice views of Bangkok taken from Cloud47 sky bar. This bar is located close to BTS Saladaeng so easy to get there by public transport. Before or after you can visit the Patpong night market as it's almost across the street.

Many beaches on Koh Tao are rocky and small. But Soiree beach is the opposite. It's a large beach with lots of restaurants and bars. For some quiet please just get to the most northern part of the beach. You can enjoy the sunset while having a drink or dinner.

Diving at Koh Tao is one of the favorite activities of the people who visit this magnificent island. Here you can watch a video of the early morning dive. Catching a long tail to the big boat which brings the divers the various diving spots.

A lot of tourist vist the island of Samui, Phangan and Tao. Traveling between the islands can only be done by boat. There are a few companies out there and one of them is Lomprayah. They have large boats that can move a lot of people fast which is ideal for tourists. Also their website is great and works fine when booking tickets.

Taking the plane from Phuket to Koh Samui. It's a short flight of around 40 minuten. If the weather is clear you can see the amazing bay of Phang Na and the islands of Koh Tao, Phangan and Samui. It's a great flight!

Today a video of sunset on Bangkok beach. This beach is located on Koh Samui, just on the flight path to the airport and with a view at Koh Phangan. The beach is not so special and quiet, I only stayed for one night to catch an early flight the next morning.

Each night there is a show with lady boys at the night bazaar of Chiang Mai. Lots of people at the market will take a look. If you want to have a quiet dinner don't sit down at one of the front tables at this restaurant as you will become almost part of the show.
