Sounds like a statement from someone with ready access to money.
People (the less fortunate ones) need work which equates to food.

Tourists won't be going back to Pattaya anytime soon.
Think around 18-24 month ball park figure.
Even then I think they will be thin on the ground.
Might be a good idea to get the old fish nets out again!
and you base that on what?

What pandemic? What alcohol ban? Daily tots of lao kao before, after, or for breakfast continue unabated. Life in my village carries on much as it has for the past 5 years, which is as far back as I can vouch for. Most people here work on the land and keep themselves covered up better than a muslim lady in a niqab, so face masks are pretty much redundant And, one stands a greater chance of contacting Dengue Fever than Covid-19.
gloating comes to mind

What's the point? The numbers of covid19 deaths will be astronomical whether or not a curfew is imposed or not. Plus the numbers given up to now are pathetic and an insult to even the stupidest in society.
This curfew will just squeeze the life out of the people even more. The country is gonna be in a dreadful state when this thing is declared over and borders open, etc again.
If the economy doesn't collapse completely i'll be amazed
no different to any other countries effected by this, economies all over will be in dire straits

so do you need a health cert if you're from the uk if you are going to thailand? keep getting conflicting reports, has anyone been a arrival at suvarnabhumi very recently from the uk and did they want you to produce the certificate?

More than likely Thailand is already at stage 3. I'm already practicing social distancing. You'd be foolish not too. The country just doesn't have the means or ability to make the determination of stage 3 quickly out of shear lack of resources, cost and cultural behavior to sweep problems under the rug. Mark my words.. Just because you don't see any infections being reported in and around Pattaya doesn't mean we are safe. There are more than likely many people that have mild symptoms or who are asymptomatic walking around and standing next to you at the local 7-11. some idiots will call me paranoid but if you really want a good idea of why I'm certain in my claim read this. Very well informed statistician wrote this essay.
I'd call ya paranoid cuz you are!

There is currently absolutely no shortage of work. In fact there appear to be some decent jobs posted within the last ten days.
Harrow
Suankularb
Satit Chula
Wattana Wittayalai
Bangkok Christian
Just a few.
Plenty of good jobs for GOOD teachers - no matter their ages.
try and apply for some of them, it definitely matters what age you are, you'll find out they don't want NES unless you are under 25 and good looking, these schools are deluded

as long as you're under 25 and good looking <deleted>

same old story now coming every year and its nonsense, yes its not as busy as it use to be but trying get a hotel there and you'll find it hard to do cuz everywhere is full, and you wont get a hotel for love nor money over the xmas and new year week.
-
nonsense. its far from deserted, ok its probably not as busy as it use to be, but to try and make out its some sort of ghost town is b***ocks. I went there Friday and the first 3 hotels I tried were full. the bars were busy not rammed but there was plenty of people about. there really is some nonsense talked about on here, unless theres another pattaya im unaware of, its certainly far from dead
