  1. For me I draw my fortnightly Aussie pension using my CBA debit mastercard over the counter at either of 2 Bangkok Banks near us up country, CBA charge about 3% the exchange rate is about 1.2 BATH above the advertised local bank rates Bangkok Bank charge no fees. The CBA exchange rate is also above their advertised rate for an international transfer.

Other banks near us will not do over the counter they want you to use the ATM so they get better return also the exchange will be lower the advertised rate.

  2. If you live near Korat, Surin, Nong Ki, Khon Kaen etc there's a guy has lamb chops, roast, sausage, mince as well as very good beef, sausages plus other goodies. His web site nookiesdelights.3baht.net quality good prices very reasonable.

If in Pattaya a business there has it also, it's site primefoodservice.net

Both much cheaper than outlets in Bangkok & supermarkets.

  3. Hi Gary A

You are on the right track, there are so many options for solar power & water pumping, you have sized for what you want, most people don't do this, don't research through people who know the in's & out's. Forums are good to an extent but a lot of miss information also.

As you said Lithium batteries are top shelf, in time maybe more reasonable, Gel batteries bit more expensive than lead acid but much more suited for solar best way keep at around 50% charge then might get 8 + years use.

  4. My wife got fined 100BHT a few nights ago, got receipt, for no number plate light on her ute of 10 years, just down the road those noisy cane vehicles with no tail lights or any warning devices appear exempt of any wrong doing, bit like the under age school children riding motor bikes to school.

  5. Hi, I built the attached 140 square meter home, includes outside areas, near Si Sa Ket for a bit over 2 million it includes all furnishings, air con, water pump etc, it is top finished. May I suggest you use an experienced designer who uses a certified engineer. I gave mine a basic design of what I wanted she did the rest, stand firm with your builder mine was great & did everythingIi wanted, the first guy I approached would't build the roof.post-226554-0-47353500-1424055741_thumb.
