The Silva/Mendy thing is ridiculous.
Are you suggesting that it’s ok for football fans to racially abuse opposition players?? Because it’s been happening for years??

I know Pulisic provided the assist to Batshuiyi but apart from that I was less than impressed. Although few minutes were awarded to him. Frank has been heavily criticised on SM for not giving him enough game time but if he’s not proving himself in training he’ll struggle to get in the team, simple really.
Thank ferk we’re not relying on him in light of resent departures. He was seen by many as a stand in apprentice for EH. Thankfully others have stepped up

I like it and the in-laws like it too. I have to say that it’s even expensive straight from the farmer. Luckily only about 10km from the village

What was your piece of Hocus Pocus which eventually convinced the locals to embrace?

All on “The 5th Stand” app now which doesn’t cover anywhere near as much content as CTV did. Gutted [emoji22]

Unfortunately Chelsea tv is no more so i rarely get to see the youth games. I was also surprised at the ability and calmness of Anjorin, to be honest, a player I had not heard of before.

Correct. When he arrived in 2013 his new team mates and Chelsea staff couldn’t pronounce his family name (neither could I) so they nicknamed him Dave. It’s stuck ever since.
I remember commentators having a right mare with it.
It’s also hard to spell so we all use Dave or Azpi instead

Frank Lampard stated after the game that Ross Barkley is the penalty taker when he’s on the pitch so there shouldn’t have been any discussion whatsoever [emoji2959][emoji2959]

VAR’s lack of decision on Dave getting kicked is appalling

Wouldn’t miss it[emoji1303] love it. Back in the 90’s I used to buy 8 hour video cassettes so that I could watch the entire stage every night after work. Those were the Indurain years but also the David Duffield years, one of the best cycling journalists ever for me. Sadly passed away in 2016.
Great TDF this year, gutted Froome didn’t make the start and I really would enjoy an Alaphilip win for France

Higher pressure definitely helps. I was riding my 700x23 tyres at around 80psi and got fed up with punctures from rim pinches.
I did a little research and realised my problem quickly, I needed much higher pressure.
I know I’ll jinx myself here but I’ve ridden with 100+ psi for 6 months without a puncture on my road bike. Although I haven’t been riding as much this year.
I’ve tried to ride through the winter to keep the legs in tune but I think the problem that causes is that I don’t have the enthusiasm level required in the spring to ride regularly. I’m probably only riding once every 10-14 days this year. I need motivation [emoji848][emoji848]

If this ban isn't lifted you're going to struggle badly I think.

I was impressed by Hazard’s tweet/letter to the fans. I don’t think you can begrudge him a shot at his dream so good luck to him. Let’s see how he gets on, maybe a return after a couple of seasons??

I’m quite envious of your exploration, it certainly adds to the joys of cycling when you’re not sure what’s round the corner or how many miles home. As I know my local area like the back of my hand, I have many markers that I know are 5, 10, 15 etc miles to home. For me this certainty takes some of the fun away. I’m so looking forward to spending more time in Thailand in the future. I will be within cycling distance of the famously disputed Preah Vihear temple on the Thai Cambodia border so some nice hills to go with the flat Issaan rice land. I think my road bike might be a bit fragile for the dirt roads but I’m sure I can find something to suit my needs locally. My wife worries about me cycling in Thailand because of the accident statistics but I don’t intend going anywhere near the highway road 24, I’ll stay well clear of that, exactly as I do here. I’m either completely off-road on my mountain bike or small quiet country lanes on my road bike.
Also there’s the peace and quiet to enjoy
