Of course they need a passport to check your identity to collect the money, but why they ask for the visa status too? It's their concern? Means that without a valid visa, you are not able to pick up the cash?

Got 6 days, but at the end got my salary: just told the owner the magic word: " Labour office" and all went smoothly. The strange things that he doesn't cancel yet my work permit cause he want me back there....i know why essentialy: noone will stay in a place like that for 20.000 thb and his behaviour. I told him, if you want me bacj salary should me minimum 50.000 thb....

Whatever they do i no have any copy and as well i dont sign any kind of paper

Sounds like you are better off out of this TBH, pop along to the labour department office and chat with them.

I assume that they are paying social security payments on your behalf, has any income tax been deducted from your salary? (given the low salary it would not be a lot after expenses and allowances)
Aside from the work permit, is there anything else in writing about the job?
 
Personally, I'd go to the local labour office, explain the situation and see what they say.

I am working in this place nearly 3 months. Got regular work permit. Visa on my own as i am on an Non O immigrant. The situation is:

The owner is pushing me cause we are in low season and point on me the fact that business is down cause of me. I feel my time here is finish: today he told me that he will not pay my last salary cause he will retain it for pay my work permit.

So my question is:

-Can he do that?

-My salary is 25000 thb and i am from Europe...but the minimum required for issue a work permit is 35.000 thb...am i right?

Can, if he will fire me, act against him at the Ministry of Labour?

Just called thai lion air: they told me that wp is ok, but need anyway a copy of the passport and recipt from the immigration stated the passport is still there.

I doubt you can use a work permit as ID for a flight - even if domestic.
The work permit is essentially a typed up page with a physical picture covered in plastic film. It's the most low tech and least secure document you could get. Easily forgable or to remove and exchange the picture. I'd be very shocked if this was an acceptable form of ID to allow people on to planes. 
 
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Thailand is still 3rd world in that respect. Could it really be that easy for terrorists ?

As my passport is still at immigration,i need to fly domestic next Monday. Can i use my work permit for flight? Thank you.
