Ah OK, cup tied, and Boli caring a knock, may have to slot in the ever dependable Hayes, no big deal.

The highlight of this buffet is the Turkey carvery which is always excellent. They also have pizza which is just ok. Cooked to order pasta with your choice of sauce. Also barbecued shish kebabe chicken and shrimp outside. The shrimp was really good. Very meaty and juicy.
They usually also have roast beef at the carvery which is pretty good for Thailand. But it's cooked medium, not medium rare so some some guys complain it's a little dry. I usually hate all reasonably priced beef in Thailand. Not the case here.
They have several other dishes which can change from week to week. There is also a full salad bar and desert table. I'm pretty frugal and I think the 450 baht is worth the splurge once in awhile for what you get.
That's good to know about their beef, as I don't think I have ever had decent beef Sunday roast in Pattaya.
I have been to Dice R a few times for Sunday buffet, which was very good but really got the hump about drink prices, what I would describe as a total <deleted> take, I think they charge 300B for a Magners cider. And I seem to recall they do the plus plus thing. I would certainly return for buffet if they have screwed the head with drinks prices????

They have an attractive 199 set promotion until 5 p.m. Choose any pizza or pasta from their regular menu, get a fancy side salad starter, and choice of soft drink. Glass of wine 100 baht possibly subject to legal time restrictions.
I went with the burrata, parma ham, rocket, and cherry tomatoes pizza which is normally 260 on the menu. I was offered a choice of thin or thick crusts and unwisely chose thin. I did ask if they had medium and they said no. I suspect the thick isn't really thick, can someone confirm? Anyway the thin crust as is fair to expect was the crispy cracker style crust that I happen to dislike. The crust flavor was not there either so I do wonder if the "thick" is better. However, the toppings were excellent and in decent portions as well.
Here you can see their entire menu including all the choices of pizzas and pastas for their "early bird" before 5 p.m. promotion.

10 percent service charge is added to the bill, tax is not.
Went there a few days ago, had that salad starter, spaghetti seafood and coke, 220B on their promotion, all in all, was average, little or no costumers in at 2 in afternoon, this place will struggle. Doubt if I will return.

It's in prime area for a Chinese takeover. I've been to Linda's for the sandwiches, which are good. It's the clinical ambience and fairly hefty prices that have kept me from going back in.
Best case scenario: They move to the burgeoning foodie center in dark side, back side of Soi Talman and thanks to low rents put the prices down.
Could be but, saying that, and given that there are 3 or 4 Chinese restaurants already in Jomtiem, I don't see many Chinese in and around Jomtiem.

Not sure if Taylor is cup tied? Could be ideal game for him.
-
Big CJ and Bauer both went off with knocks, hopefully both will be OK for Wednesday nights cup tie with a struggling Partick T. That said, surely this game is an ideal opportunity to rest several players, especially the ones that have been on international duty recently.

Seeing that 85M Cart Horse getting rolled for first goal, what must Man U fans be thinking?

Our impressive start to the season continues with our 6th victory in a row in the SPL.
I was a bit surprised to see 4 midfielders start and looked like we lined up with JF on the left and nobody on the right-Boli and JF were ripping it up on the left and Bauer seemed to be on his own on right side.
We started brightly, JF was in inspirational form on the left, cracked a post early doors. We were totally dominant, as usual they parked the bus and in their one and only attack in first half, they find the net. However, heads did not drop, we stuck to our game plan and were rewarded when JF puts in a cross from left and Eddie heads home. So we go in 1-1 at HT.
Great to see The Bunnet introduced to the crowd at HT.
Second half we continued to press and were rewarded with a sublime second goal. The impressive Bauer played a delightful ball into Eddy, whos finish matched the pass. We then added a third when JF missed a sitter with his head but RC was on hand to hammer home rebound from close range. Initial chance came from a good cross from left by the impressive Boli.
At 3-1 up, we were in control but with 5min left, Brown concedes a penalty-think its the 3rd one for him this season and we are thinking that they are going to get back into the game but big FF brilliantly gets down to his right and saves. Still time for JF to crack the bar.
Eddy got MOM, I would have went with JF, or even Bauer.

I keep 800K in bank for retirement visa.
Can I lock it in to an interest plan for say 1 year or does it have to be "available" in the eyes of immigration people?

A very good result away from home, against quality opposition, read somewhere that spent something like 78M this summer alone, so a quality side, operating in a league well above ours, so good result.
We were brave on the ball, had good spells of position, but yes, were pretty blunt up front. But that's fine playing away from home in Europe. Only thing is, chances will come, not many, but have to be more clinical with the few chances that do come, away from home. And that's why set pieces are so important and, ours were shocking last night.
Ajer got a total brain fart, all he had to do was stay on his feet and push the guy wide, but he dives in, grabbing his shirt also, it was about 3 penalty's in one. Ref seemed to take an age to point to the spot and would go on to have a shocker, Bayos second red was a total joke, seemed to initially wave play on, goalie then pretends he has been kicked on head and ref buys it, that ref should be struck off. Hayes was taking a chance with that great tackle near the end, given the Ref's unstable mindset.
Boli had his usual up and down game and cant help thinking that Taylor may be a better bet against sides like this. MoEly was poor, seems like still getting up to speed.
One player who continues to impress is ElHam at RB, so composed.
Guess this is an open group now, given Cluj result.
So overall, happy with result, reasonably pleased with performance.

Went to Prime Burger, next door to McDonalds, opposite tree town on Soi Buakaow last night, nice place, well decked out, comfortable atmosphere, pleasant and well trained staff.
I went for the Bangkok burger, sweet fried potatoes, 205B for the single burger and 95B for fries.
The beef patty was one of the best I have tasted in Pattaya, could tell it was made from quality ingredients.

I pass Linda's a lot and have to say, never seems busy, did have a nice breakfast there about a year ago,
Just fear for this sort of place, given current market change in Pattaya.

That looks an attractive promotion deal at 220B, will hopefully try today and report back.
The "fancy side salad starter" is there a choice of starter?
I have been to wine collection in Chiang Mai a few times and always enjoyed food there.

Very few places in Pattaya "too busy" for Sunday roast.
No, P & W was not busy.

Yesterday, went to Pig & Whistle in Jomtiem and had Sunday special, roast beef. It was average, beef was ok, lacked tenderness but for the price, expected standard of beef, had choice of roast or mash-should give both. Veg was good, Yorkshire pudding too soggy, gravy good.
Priced at 225B, guess for an indoor AC place, was reasonable value for the money, they did not have lamb, just beef or pork.

I have had the Killkenny Sunday roast lamb in the past, one of the cheapest around Pattaya and was OK, the roast potato was way too big, so undercooked, should have been cut in 3.
Can pay anything from 199B to 450B for Sunday roast in and around Pattaya and price difference normally reflects on quality.
2 of the best value SRs in Pattaya can be found on Darkside, Welcome Inn and Tropical, around 230B each.

And another one to consider on Darkside, and one of my favorites, Pepper & Salt.

Today, had the hickory smoked beef brisket at Tinnes, Jomtiem.
And glad to report, it was excellent, beef was tender and plentiful.
Came with mash and salad, and I went for the brisket juice. Salad was good, coleslaw looked a bit tired but tasted OK. Cost was 350B, which was fine by me, as I find it difficult to get good beef in Pattaya.
While I like the food in Tinnies, staff seem well trained and pleasant, the place lacks character-there was no background music playing, sort of like a bit depressing.
I also like that they have many specials everyday.
