Hope Jims burgers survives, not great location.

Had the burger at Jim's last week, well impressed, very juice too and reasonably priced for quality of burger, much better and cheaper than the crap burger I had in Hooters on Beach Road.

What is the cost of retirement visa? Would need multi entry
-
-
So I went to immigration in Jomtiem, showed my passport to the Thai guy at the desk on the left hand side, explained that I finish work next week and would like a Retirement visa, he tells me that I cannot do this in Pattaya, that I have to go to BKK because that's where my existing visa was issued. Now that's a right pain in the ass if I have to go to BKK.

I know. We live nearby and have been many times in the past. This time it felt like a significant downturn.
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkTotally agree about this place. For years, it was my go to place for Thai food, loved the place late at night.
But something went tits up a little over a year ago, everything went downhill-food, service.

Should letter of termination be from employer or from the department that issues/cancels work permit?
-
Yes, it says EXTENSION OF STAY.

Its a multiple entry NON IMM visa, that was obtained by my employer in Bangkok
-
Hers my predicament. I am in Thailand on a work permit and Non Imm visa, which are good till next July. But my employment will finish at the end of the month. My employer will, for sure, cancel my work permit-which they hold anyway. I suspect they would also like to cancel my visa but I wont be surrendering my passport to them. Can they cancel it anyway, maybe electronically?
I plan to leave Thailand in March, so if they do cancel my Visa, I could be in for a surprise when I go to leave Thailand in March-2 and a half month overstay.
I guess if that is the case, I should think about a retirement visa, can I go Jomtiem & transfer Non Imm visa to a Retirement visa?
Hope someone can advise

Anyone had any experience, what is required?

So, you don't get the visa on same day you apply?

OK, so what paperwork should I take to embassy when applying for initial single entry non-o visa ?

I am over 50, plan to retire fulltime to Thailand soon.
I am married to a Thai, no kids, she has house in her name, I have Condo in my name.
I have a few million in Thai bank.
Plan to travel a bit, so need multi entry visa.
So, what's my best option for visa?

Take marriage cert to British Embassy in BKK and get a letter from them stating that marriage is recognized in the UK-if you have done this previously it should be OK, as long as its the same passports you both have.
Do you have property in Spain, if so, need copies of proof its your place.
Usual stuff, copies of passports, etc.
I have been getting visas foe my Thai wife from them for years.
