I was thinking the same, miserable portions and one can do better. Looks like a hot dog fried to death not a sausage! Oh the Crazy Dave's Special is sadly missed.
Ah OK, understand height your bar is set at.

In that case the easiest way to stay long-term IO-hassle free in Thailand, is to apply for a 1-year MultipleEntry Non Imm O - marriage Visa at the thai consulates in Savannakhet, HoChiMinh City or Penang.
It's an easy application process (apply morning day 1 and get your passport with the Visa next day) and it basically only requires that you show you are married to a thai national, and NO financials required (except the 5.000 THB Visa fee).
That 1-year Visa provides you with a 90-day permission to stay on entry, at the end of which you need to exit Thailand (a simple border-run will do, which will provide you once again with a 90-day permission to stay) or apply for a 60-day extension for reason of visiting your wife.
When timed right that Visa can provide you with 17-months IO-hassle free stay in Thailand, with NO need to park money on a thai bank-account, NO need for 90-day reports, NO need for re-entry permits and NO need having to deal with local thai IO for a 1-year marriage extension and all the associated hoops.
This sounds interesting, would liberate the 800K tied up for retirement visa.
Many thanks

Don't understand what you mean 'either/or' signatures.

Being brought up in the country, we always had dogs around, been in love with so many dogs in my life.
Just reckon its cruel for dogs to be kept in a condo-or cats for that matter, just unhygienic. Animals need open spaces-a house with a garden is ideal.

How would it work, if you were to make all your Thai bank accounts joint, with your wife?
Would that save potential legal grief?

Bought the tortellini with cream. Big portion, tasty and I believe they was home made.
I will try something else in a few days, the menu is big and the price are reasonable in my opinion.
Had another enjoyable meal a last night in Punch and Judy. Missus had a pizza, nice thin crispy crust and excellent value at 160B.
I had the chicken cordon bleu, very good and again, great value at 149B.
Must say, their hand cut chips are the best I have had in Pattaya.

Cannot risk opening up all bars right now, those Thai style late night pubs, where Thais get totally legless, would be impossible to manage social distancing. As would open air beer bars with drunken foreigners.
I do reckon that certain bars, should be allowed serve alcohol, so long as they can demonstrate managing social distancing, would need doorstaff, control of numbers entering, turning people away when bar is at capacity etc.

Just reckon that the Chinese that visit Thailand are bottom of the barrel. And don't contribute much to the economy, many are factory workers that come on all inclusive tours organized by their factory owners, the bus companies that transport them around are all Chinese owned-some sleep on the buses- as are the places they eat and sleep.

Reckon important to get Thais back earning, so open all shops. Also, open beaches, lots of Thais selling on Beaches, would much rather be on a windy beach than in a cramped Thai market. Massage shops would put hundreds back earning.
Today, in parts of Spain, who still have a few hundred dying daily, Bars restaurants opening with restrictions. Should allow restaurants serve alcohol.
Also, from a selfish point of view, open gentleman clubs, provided they can control numbers.

Went last night, enjoyable meal.
Place has been freshened up, decent menu with lots of daily specials, good service.
And very reasonably priced.
This place ticks most boxes, would recommend.
