    So if you are on an O based on marriage visa, and you need to send 400K. at 10% are you and your wife entitled to 30K each tax credit? If so you actually get back money? Or even at 15% you end up paying zero.

    I thought the home visit was to check the information on the visa application was correct while the visa is pending. Do they do spot checks on visa holders as routine? I have never heard of it.

    Is it normal to have Immigration officers request a home visit several weeks after O based on marriage visa issued? Seems strange.

    This is correct. He did the border run on Thursday and he was able to swap passports: ... after a little persuasion.

    The link you provided does not say anything about swapping passports. Some here are saying it is not allowed at border crossings. I just spoke to and immigration official who said it is not a problem.

    Anyway. Immigration says that he can do it at the land border but needs his old expired passport with the exit stamp and present all three when exiting. They said no problem.

    What do you mean by passport swap? stamp out on one passport and re-enter on another passport?

    Well I guess the best thing to do is just ask the officials at the border. Not a big deal

    My thoughts are to stamp out on the EU passport and thats it. get in the car and go home. I am trying to figure out if there is actually a need to then exit end re-enter. on the Thai passport.

    Like is he entered into some national database as being in the country or out of the country?

    The question is is there a reason he needs to exit and re-enter on the Thai passport. I cant see any logical reason, that is why I am asking here to see if there is something I am missing.

    He is Thai and the passport is new. How would they know or care if he has ever even been out of the country? When exiting Thailand on a Thai passport is an entrance stamp required?

    Hi my son came in to Thailand on his EU passport because his Thai passport was expired. He has since renewed his Thai passport and would like to exit with the EU passport and re-enter with the Thai passport at a border. My question is can he just get the exit stamp on the EU passport then turn around and go home. Or does he for some reason need to exit and re-enter on the Thai passport?

    Passport expires in 6 months. ish.

    I will need a new passport shortly. My Last visa extension for Non O based on marriage will expire when my passport expires. Can I transfer the old visa to the new passport and extend again? I was told I will need a new visa. But the agent wasn't sure.
