I feel sorry for all you people who know so much about nothing. Every story has more than one side to it.... but you all just blindly swallow the lies and gossip and exagerations put out by the press and media. Not one person here has seen the 'supposed' pornographic images found on my father's computer, because there are none. All like to be judge, jury and executioner without any evidence. I feel sorry for you as by spreading lies and gossip...... unsubstantiated gossip, which is what the media proffession is all about, you are creating much bad karma for yourselves which will certainly come back to bite you in the future.

I am now 18 and know my father better than any of you and I know he is a very good man who would never do anything to harm a child or any other person.

Those who point at that video on Youtube which shows him visiting local kids during songkran also know nothing. If I show you that video, and tell you beforehand that it is about a bad man doing things to kids, that is what you are prepared to see, so you will be watching it with a bias attitude and looking for things to prove that is true... just like those here who told others to go look at it. If however, somebody showed you the video and said beforehand that it is a really cute video showing a guy who loves these kids and they know him for several years and love him too, your expectations will be different, and if I am there and able to explain what exactly is happening in the video and answer any questions you might have about it.... another story completely.

I go with my father often when he goes to visit hill-tribe villages and places like the one in the video which is housing for migrant workers living on orange farms who have come from Burma. They all know him for several years and know he is only doing good. he always has sweets for the kids and often brings clothing, toys, and other things and also likes to take photos. Some of the tribes like the Lahu people used to be afraid to have their photos taken and so he did not take any of the adults unless they agreed. Some villages get many tourists and visitors who take many photos but then just go home. My father started to print the photos at home on his printer and take them to give out free to the kids and families, so they became more friendly and started to ask him to take their photos. The migrants from Burma also like to get photos to send home to their familes and relatives still back at home in Burma. My father never charges for the photos or anything else.

Some people in the press with filthy minds like to say that he just enticed the kids with sweets and presents so that he could lull them into a false sense of security and then abuse them... absolute lies.

The media are very pitiful because their proffession is all about lies and gossip and exageration to make an exciting story. The truth and fairness are never important. They are guilty of great bad karma and are to be pitied.

Kids all over the world like to be loved. They see it is a world controlled by adults, so when adults take an interest in them and like them they are happy. Of course it is mostly parents and relatives but social behaviour in asia is not the same as in western countries. Asians do not show much affection outside their own homes unlike Westerners who like to hug and kiss and show affection at any time. Kids all over like to be hugged and lifted up and played with by adults who they know and trust, and they like to sit upon the laps of adults and get a hug too. This is only nature and nothing to do with sex. Many people pick up babies and blow a rassbery on their bare tummy and the kids like it too.

The place where the video was made, my father called 'the Blocks'. This is because there are ten housing concrete blocks which each house about 20 families in tiny rooms. They are very poor accomodation by any standards but liveable, and in towns or cities they would be classed as slums. The kids stay at home mostly whilst the parents are at work on the farms and there are young babies which are looked after by the older kids and some elders also who do not work. In many tribal and poor situations like this the smaller kids often run about naked or with only pants and no tops on. In the warm climate it is more comfortable and also less laundry. In many tribal societies and cultures like China it is common for kids up to the age of 5 to go without any pants and just wear a top so that they can go to the toilet easily without needing many changes of clothes since nobody wastes money on things like Pampers. My father knows these kids for a few years and they are always shouting him to take their photos and asking for lollipops. At songkran festival they ask him to come and visit so that they can have some fun, and show respect, by getting him wet. I can look at that video, knowing my father and his relationship with those kids, and see only the fun and joy they are ll having. It is a game all over the world where kids enjoy to be chased and they can run away, and when you stop they come back for more. I think people who see only bad things in the video have come prepared to see only bad, and do not understand the situation.

The first person to make a bad comment on the video did not bother to ask for any explanation about it, but just ASSUMED he knew everthing going on, based upon his own prejudices.

Do you know where the word prejudice comes from? the Latin pre judice, meaning to pre judge... to judge without knowing the facts or the full story or both sides of the story.

All of this attack on my father has come from a person, I don't know if Thai or Western, living here or in the West, who saw a photo showing my father playing in a small river, with some kids and some of them were naked. He reported them as child porn, which is absolute rubbish. Pornography is about sex, so child porn is photos showing an adult engaged in sexual activity with a minor, or touching their sexual organs. Not one of my fathers photos are like that.

The person who reported them to some oragnisation in America to do with protection of children from tafficking, maybe even forgot about it all afterwrds. The organisation were wrong to then make a case, without actually looking to see if the photos really showed any porn or not. Then once it came to Thailand and into the hands of the Thai police and DSI, they just assumed that something coming from the great and almightly USA must be right, so they never bothered to look either. Thailand is not America and the culture and customs here are different and deserve to be too. Why everyone allows the USA to try and force the world to be like them, their culture, their customs, their laws, and their hangups... crazy. So as usual the Thai uthorities get down and grovel to the great USA and ask them to pull their pants down so that they can lick their asses.

This whole thing has been a charade. The press spread lies, the adults without any wisdom believe it and gossip and spread more lies, the kids are told that the man they loved is a bad man and to run away from him. All those involved in spreading rumours and lies and gossip are guilty of causing harm to those kids... not my father.

My father has lost money, time, friends, reputation, and much else because of this evil situation. But he is a good Buddhist and he knows that he must have some enemy who he created bad karma with in some past lifetime, or this situation would not occur. He forgives all people involved who think, speak and act wrongly about him, and does not want to create any more karma with them. His forgiveness does not wipe away their karma though so they will still suffer in the future, so he feels sad for them. He feels most sorry for the kids who are very confused and have had their innocence corrupted.

There are some officials who are involved in this case who are only concerned about their won loss of face if my father is acquitted. For them the whole situation is nothing but winning and losing and since it came from the West are doing their utmost to add charges and get kids to tell lies about him. They are to be greatly pitied.

There seem to be more bad people than good nowadays. They are too lazy to pull themselves up and improve themselves so they just attack the good ones and try to drag them down to their own level in the gutter. They will cetainly spend a very long time in the hell realms for their evil actions and words.

Merit from giving alms, robes, gutis, temples can only help beings in Hungry Ghost realm if you make transfer of merit chants, but not to beings reborn in heavens, humans, animals, demons, or hells. Only the very strong merit from meditation and especially Vipassana which can take you to Nibbana can help beings in hell realms. Samatha meditation is still only Lokiya and not Luttara (worldy and not Ariya).

Can I introduce you to the films by a french meditation guru. He is not a monk but more like the russi of Thailand, long hair, forest dwelling,(is that their translation of rishi from Japanese?)

It appears that he has been living and practicing in Burma for many years since he speaks Burmese well. He must be associated with a temple and its school there as he is also a filmmaker and uses or rather teaches some students to be his actors. Four movies so far all with the theme to get people meditating.

The first two have english subtitles built in but the second two need them activated...

Yesterday i was riding and saw a bike in front of me... I couldn't get close enough to see what it was. It was a big scooter, looking similar to a Forza from behind, but I noticed that it had a drive belt on the left looking just like the Harley ones. The tail light was teardrop shaped as was the rear of the exhaust.

Real monks are not allowed to ask for anything, let alone money... I reckon these were fake monks.

I had the Yamaha Nuovo first model for 7 years and liked it very much. It was the first of the big wheel 4 stroke scooters here and started the boom (after all those little 2 stroke 50cc secondhand things from Japan). The positioning of the headlight under the front basket meant you could use it without it blocking the light or shining back in your face at night.

I was interested in the PCX recently and only found out about the Nmax through replies to my post on here.

Yesteday i was able to sit on both Nmax and PCX and like the bigger seat of the PCX and general feel more.

The Rear disc is good and ABS on the Yamaha but the smaller wheels are not.

They asked 81k for the Yamaha but the Honda is 78K.

I sat on both bikes yesterday and like the Honda PCX more...bigger seat and overall feel.

Hi.... my dad was on here before but now he is not. We both use the same computer and have a 1 TB HDD each and we share cameras and gear. (I think he uses my account sometimes to look at stuff on TV but I don't mind.) He teaches me all about computer and photography.

At least with a Honda wave I can stand on the foot/rear brake and only use the front brake when necessary to keep it in reserve (when going down the mountain).

These two only have hand brakes but obviously the Yamaha with disc front and rear would be better in this situation.

I ask because I had and liked the first model Nouvo but the engine braking when throttle was shut off only seemed to work for the first 6 months.

Certainly a ten year old who is mentally normal should be inquisitive and quick to learn. Was she going to school when she lived with her grandparents?

Often rural people eat with their hands.

Getting even educated Thais to use a knife and fork is not easy...the types of food they are used to need only fork and spoon... so if she is being introduced to Western food it is normal she cannot use a knife.

Most rural housing of the wood/bamboo on stilts type have outhouses so for safety it is better to pee in a bucket instead of trying to go out at night and probably without any lighting and she is a kid and Thai so may be scared of animals or snakes or ghosts.

The Father-in-law will cope best if he learns some Thai quickly...get the kid to help teach him.

Rural and even now hill-tribe kids were often raised to run about without any pants at home...easier for cleaning. So they get used to being half naked at home and at ten she is perhaps not yet mature enough to start worrying about her sex, especially if she didn't go to school before.

Amongst many Cambodian men the taking of a girls virginity is seen as either a sexual invigoration...or even a cure for aids!!! The thought of a poor virgin girl being impregnated with AIDS on her first rape is horrifying... to all those who have any morals.

These posters are probably made up and produced by a firm which has nothing to do with the Govt or require Govt approval. All stationary shops sell many posters like this to sell to education establishments.

If a European bank sends money to my UK bank account then the money arrives within a hour (but usually minutes). ...but a similar transaction sent to a Thai bank means that one must wait a week or ten days before it reaches your account..... disgusting.

Personally I think that this is just typical BDTV (Brain Dead T.V) which seems to be prevalent on T.V here.

As usual it is all vocabulary and grammer...... the last thing you need until you can speak the language.
