What about a Google Map with hand drawn annotations on it? Works for me.
Only asked for a very simple sketch map. The officer lady was so nice to teach me how to draw.

Wow.
I've never needed to give them any kind of map.

Today I go to Jomtien Immigration for renewing my retirement visa. This is my 3rd renewal. Other than those required documents and passport copies, the officer asks for a hand drawing map which indicates the location of my condo (no google map print out is accepted anymore), and 4 photos printed on a piece of paper for which I need to present in each of the photos:
- The area outside my condo where it shows the name of the condo complex;
- The front door of my condo which shows the room number;
- Two photos inside my condo.

Thank you. For Vietnam its Ho Chi Minh City and Cambodia Phnom Penh? What about Hong Kong, is it possible to get one there?
Thank you very much
I am from Hong Kong. Yes, it is possible, but it is not easy. When I first applied my ED Visa, the consulate asked for lots of questions and documents like bank statements... other than the one that my school given me.

Yes, I do the same thing. There was no problem and ran smoothly when I renewed my retirement visa at Jomtien Immigration this January.

Another example of Thai logic!

I plan to do my renewal of my Retirement Visa on 28th this month at Jomtien Immigration. If my bank letter dated 27th and my passbook updated to and on 27th, that is the day before my application, will the immigration accept them?
Thank you in advance for your valuable advice!

Was not speaking about the visit to Immigration but the time process to have the retirement visa put on my passport, was thinking some of these agencies can get the process done quicker as I need my passport back in time for leaving country again. Should have mentioned I am still working so its a multiple entry retirement visa I will be looking for as I am getting asked to many questions at the airport now. 28 days Thailand and 28 days overseas working.
My first retirement visa was done thru a law firm. I paid THB25,000. No hassle, I gave all the documents needed to the law firm, they went to Jomtien by themselves. I got the visa same day.

I am going to do my renewal by the end of this month too.
Can I know what is Foreign National Information Form, and Email receipt for Form TM30? And where can I download them?
Thanks a million!

Pattaya too! They charged me 90 baht yesterday and 100 baht on Nov 4. I asked why? They said buy it or leave it.

Life is really cheap here!
She must be a daughter of certain celebrity!

1. One of my friends has the same problem that not enough time for 800k in his account. When he went to immigration to renew his retirement visa, the officer discovery the problem but said to him that if he is willing to pay extra fee, his problem can be fixed.
2. Once I visited a visa company named "Bxxs" at Central Pattaya Road. The manager said, I don't need any money at the bank if I want to apply retirement visa thru him with the charges of THB25,000. I talked to a friend of mine how can it be possible, he said because the visa company acts as a guarantor of the applicant.

Thank you very much for your information!

I need to fly back home at emergency. And I don't think I have enough time to go to immigration office to apply for re-entry. Can I do it at the airport? Or does the airport has immigration counter for doing re-entry application? I am under retirement visa, if I don't apply for re-entry, what will happen when I come back to Thailand?
Thank you in advance for any constructive advices!

Just wonder why the name of the so-called "Hong Kong man" is spelled in Putonghua not in Cantonese?
-
The Chinese are going to love that!
Sorry I don't!

Just did it a week ago at Jomtien. Never asked much form.
-
On February, I did it through my lawyer. She charged me 25,000baht plus 1,900baht application fee. In fact, it should be only 15,000baht for doing retirement visa and because I have to change my ED visa to tourist visa, she needed to change me 10,000baht more. 60k is really outrageous!
-
Last year when I tried to change my Ed Visa to retirement, the lady at Immigration at Jomtien said, I have to either go to Cambodia to change my visa to a tourist one first then go to Immigration at Bangkok to apply the retirement one or simply go to Laos to change my visa to tourist then apply the retirement there.

Sorli no have!

Just a friendly reminder, don't forget to bring along with your photos with your presence taken 1. in front of your condo complex 2. in front of your condo room, 3. and inside your condo.
