As I keep telling my wife, if I wanted a woman with white skin I could have stayed in the UK. I could work when I wanted, bought land if I wanted and saved a considerable amount of money and the hassle and expense of travelling.

I remember a couple of years ago standing in the queue at Tesco on Christmas Eve thinking of all the money I'd spent so I could be attending where I was.

I am 60 yrs old, certainly not a "hansum man" with the many telltale lines, ditches and troughs on my face. I'm not into plastic surgery, so I accept I'm stuck with that. However, I go to gym 3 or 4 times a week, swimming twice a week and am extremely fit and healthy. I eat healthy, but have an addiction to Thai bakery cakes and pastries. I enjoy going to discos and can dance with the best of them.

So, as to what could I give a 24-30 yr old. Firstly, I can perform well sexually and never had any complaints. Secondly, I can provide financial and emotional security for her for life, without adversely affecting my bank balance. Thirdly, we would be able to travel regularly, and be close companions and communicate well, since I have learned to speak Thai.

Yes, i have had younger girlfriends and enjoyed their company, as they have enjoyed mine. I don't see age difference as a barrier to a successful relationship. There are much more serious barriers such as mistrust, cultural differences, personality, etc. to consider. Right now, I am happy to be single and do what I want to do, when I want to do it. This may change in the future and, if I find a lovely, petite, gorgeous 25 yr old, please forgive me.

In order to explain the correct pronunciation of this word/term, one should first look at "the origin" of this word/term.

When the first Europeans reached the shores of Siam (as Thailand was then known), the French were predominantly in evidence.

When the Thai's inquired as to their origin, the French responded with "Je suis Francais" (I am French). The Thai's immediately adopted the word "Francais" to identify any "white colored foreigner who came to Thailand and since the Thai's had a problem with pronouncing "connected-letters" they pronounced it "Farangsei",which eventually 'bastardized" down to the word we hear every day, in Thailand, namely "Faa'-Rang".

I met a fair few schizophrenics when I lived in BKK, but have only seen one obvious example here on ThaiVisa. The guy I'm talking about was obsessed with sperm, ladyboys and farting. The guy was completely insane. Last time around he had two accounts: he used them to talk to himself. Both accounts are now banned.

If you find out who is setting up these accounts to "stalk" you, be careful. Mental illness isn't funny at all. I've always found it really scary.

No way would a UK solicitor ask if an annual budget of 75K USD is sufficient to "retire in Thailand with a fairly high standard of living".
