My funds from home were delayed and as I was in the middle of making a purchase I withdrew funds from my account which left it thirteen thousand baht short of the 800K minimum for one day as the transfer took place. When I went to complete my Retirement visa she actually smiled when she pointed out on my balance sheet that I was Under the 800 for a day. So we had to start all over again....

Idiotic, it's bad enough now with the Chinese at DM, imagine the 'queues' for insurance machines, folks with no baht, arguing, kids crying, machines breaking down, laughable.
'The requirement is seen as helping to reduce the burden on Thai hospitals who are being forced to treat an increasing number of insured foreigners.'
No problem then according to the article if foreigners are insured why is it costing Hospitals?
It states " uninsured" foreigners!

English speaking does not make a good lawyer or give anyone knowledge of UK laws. Use the same due diligence here as you would at home.
English speaking makes it a lot easier to communicate unless you're fluent in Thai

Mate, you need to talk to an English speaking lawyer. He can tell you what you must do.
The advice I received is that my Australian will must be changed to allow the validity if the Thai will and to also advise my executor on that will (My daughter) of the changes. A professional like
Lanna lawyers or similar are who I would ask.
Joe was the guy I spoke to 0849047797.
His advice on what was needed cost me a cup of coffee. The quote for the will in both English AND Thai was three thousand baht.
In matters this important I go to the experts.
And like you my partner doesn't want to talk about it. As a general rule Thais (Aside from the wealthy) don't leave wills.
But we don't want to leave them with a mess and no money if they've been good to us.
Get professional advice.

There are English speaking lawyers here in Chiang Mai and they are the people you should be talking to.
I was advised that whatever is in my "Thai Will" should also be added to my will in Australia with my lawyer there to avoid a conflict between both wills.

Signed up to watch Australian news and Rugby league. No ABC as listed and programmes listed are changed without notice. Rugby Union replacing Rugby League. Little or no UFC as promised.

Okay, finally got a reply from the TCL website.
Told me to download App on my laptop, transfer to USB and then plug into TV and transfer Netflix app.
I'll try that and see how I go.
Thanks for the help.

Mine is about six months old. Has ICflix which is mostly Asian movies etc.
When I typed in Netflix and searched it with no result?
I have seen similar complaints on Google.
Maybe their simply pushing ICflix.

It's my understanding that travel insurance requires you to have a return ticket. Many expats living here like myself don't have a return ticket.
Some credit cards provide travel insurance if you purchase the ticket with your credit card BUT only applies if you have a return ticket.

And you must have a return ticket.

Travel insurance in many cases only applies if you have a return ticket. Many expats living in Thailand wouldn't qualify.

Of course if they're rented on a daily basis you would have to return them to the Rental shop.
But of course if you stake out an area of the beach and fill it with your sunchairs and Umbrellas. And pay for that territory to "someone" it works better for the "Hirer".

If your allowed to take your own folding chair and umbrella onto the beach I'd be setting up a rental shop nearby.
