That is not where my problem is. It is when I click on the heart to add things to my wishlist the things are not being added plus the things that were in my wishlist ready to be ordered have disappeared from my wishlist

The same thing has been happening to me. I use a pc. I don't use the app or care to. I'm also using the Microsoft Edge browser. Never had this issue before.

I looked up and looks like there are no direct flights from CNX to VTE anyway.

Also from CNX to Udon is surprisingly expensive, about 3k 1 way, then add 200B shared minivan or 750-900B taxi to the border.

Direct flight from DMK to VTE was only 1.7k and Udon Bkk was like 900B.

Surpisingly big difference compared to CM.

On paper when going the plane route, it seems cheaper to fly to Bkk and then go but thats a lot of travel.

Yes, costly was my guess, better to just stick to the buses it seems.

There are buses from Chiang Mai to Udon Thani and then you can get a bus to either Vientiane or the bridge in Nong Khai.

Yes, this was basically what I was planning. I guess I can just come back through the border if time permits it, the same day. That or stay over one night.

Only requirment is that you need to be vaxed or have a test. (nobody asked at the Lao border, however airline asked before boarding)

I went recently like this - flight BKK-VTE, taxi from Lao airport to friendship bridge, leave Lao, enter Thailand, taxi from border to Udon airport and back to BKK.

So basically i left Bkk like 12 afternoon and was back around 6 evening. Honestly was quite tiring trip, if go more in the future would prefer to stay overnight.

I entered Lao with E-visa ($55), more convinient, dont need to write paperwork at the border, there is a special booth for E-visa entry.

Thanks for the information. I'm in Chiang Mai, and while I could take a plane, I was leaning on taking a bus, depending on cost really. Anyway, as I understand it, I will need either a Covid test or Proof of vax to enter Laos but nothing when coming back into Thailand since we're into October now.

Use of mesh is advised for umbilical hernia repair as recurrence is otherwise likely. Both the type of surgical mesh and technique for using it have advanced considerably in the past decade. Most of the scare stories you may have heard pertain to types of mesh no longer n the market.

    https://universitysurgical.com/is-surgical-mesh-safe-for-hernia-repair/

Any general surgeon can do this. As cost is a priority for you, I suggest one of these surgeons at Rajavej Hospital:

    Dr Khomsan Prachongtat

    Dr Wunchat Pangkreung

    Dr Vinisch Seemakajorn

A government hospital, such as Nakorn Ping of Maharaj, would be even less expensive but likely to have long wait lists

Thanks for the information and advice. While the scare videos of mesh are a bit old it still gives me cause for concern unfortunately.

  5. Hello Everyone,

Apparently, I have to go in for an umbilical hernia op and I have a few questions for anyone else out there regarding this procedure. Firstly, I'm looking for a good doctor/hospital in Chiang Mai province, not too costly.

Also, any information/experience regarding the use of surgical mesh. I've heard and read that it could be prone to complications. So, I'm weary about using mesh implants.

Anyway, any advice would be welcome.

  6. Just an update on my experience with McCormick Hospital. I did get the Colonoscopy there and it went very well. I slept through the procedure with nothing to complain about. Then when it came time to pay the bin/bill, it came to 30,000.

It appeared that they really were padding the bin. With things like a covid 19 test and other misc things. I did contest this since it was more than double the amount for the procedure at 15,000 and got a compromise of 20,000 which seemed fair to me. I will be more cautious the with this place in the future.

Well I don't know your problem but  even a colonoscopy does not catch everything. I had the miniature  camera that flushes through your guts taking hundreds of photos..

Yes, I've heard it's not 100%. Also I wish I new myself what the problem is the only thing the CT scan confirmed was that there was inflammation in my stomach and lower intestine. Then mentioned some possibilities, one be hidden cancer. At any rate I'm getting tired of test with no answers.

X-ray?  I've had a Colonoscopy in the US and two in Thailand, never needed an X-ray before the procedure.  In 2021 a hospital administered ATK test was the only thing required  a day before the procedure at Ram.

Yes this all sounded suspect to me. Nothing was said before and then and now bring this up. Wanted me to do it right there today. I just didn't like the sound of it and said no, a test too see if I can do another test. It's all sounding a bit off to me.

  9. Hello Everyone,

Just looking for a bit of advice, I will soon have to get another tourist visa but I'm really not sure which embassy I should go to now.

    1. In Vientiane I got the red stamp.

    2. The last visa I got in Savannakhet, I was asked questions about why I've been here so long. proof of income (which I didn't have) things like that. I still got the visa no red stamp but they seemed pretty suspicious. So I didn't want to return there anytime soon.

    3. The Latest visa I got from Penang, no problems, no questions asked.

So should I return to Penang or dare go back to Savannakhet or are there any other options.

Anyway, whatever thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
