  1. The same thing has been happening to me. I use a pc. I don't use the app or care to. I'm also using the Microsoft Edge browser. Never had this issue before.
  2. I just want to be clear about this, is Mae Sai now open for border runs/IO's for foreigners now?
  3. Yes, costly was my guess, better to just stick to the buses it seems. Yes, this was basically what I was planning. I guess I can just come back through the border if time permits it, the same day. That or stay over one night.
  4. Thanks for the information. I'm in Chiang Mai, and while I could take a plane, I was leaning on taking a bus, depending on cost really. Anyway, as I understand it, I will need either a Covid test or Proof of vax to enter Laos but nothing when coming back into Thailand since we're into October now.
  5. I have a few questions regarding this border hop to Laos as well. 1. What are the requirements for entering Laos as of Oct 1st. (such as pertaining to covid.) As well as returning to Thailand. And do you need to stay overnight or just can do a simple in and out.
  6. Just an update. I talked to the doctor at Nakorn Ping and was told I could do a non-mesh repair if I wanted.
  7. Yes, that was my idea too. Anyway, thanks for help.
  8. Thanks for the information and advice. While the scare videos of mesh are a bit old it still gives me cause for concern unfortunately.
  9. Hello Everyone, Apparently, I have to go in for an umbilical hernia op and I have a few questions for anyone else out there regarding this procedure. Firstly, I'm looking for a good doctor/hospital in Chiang Mai province, not too costly. Also, any information/experience regarding the use of surgical mesh. I've heard and read that it could be prone to complications. So, I'm weary about using mesh implants. Anyway, any advice would be welcome.
  10. Just an update on my experience with McCormick Hospital. I did get the Colonoscopy there and it went very well. I slept through the procedure with nothing to complain about. Then when it came time to pay the bin/bill, it came to 30,000. It appeared that they really were padding the bin. With things like a covid 19 test and other misc things. I did contest this since it was more than double the amount for the procedure at 15,000 and got a compromise of 20,000 which seemed fair to me. I will be more cautious the with this place in the future.
  11. Yes, I've heard it's not 100%. Also I wish I new myself what the problem is the only thing the CT scan confirmed was that there was inflammation in my stomach and lower intestine. Then mentioned some possibilities, one be hidden cancer. At any rate I'm getting tired of test with no answers.
  12. Yes this all sounded suspect to me. Nothing was said before and then and now bring this up. Wanted me to do it right there today. I just didn't like the sound of it and said no, a test too see if I can do another test. It's all sounding a bit off to me.
  13. Yes, I just found that and it says 15,000. Nothing close what they told me. To be honest I already had a CT scan there and then they recommended that I get a colonoscopy because CT scan wasn't conclusive. I'm doubting them more by minute.
  14. Well, McCormick hospital doesn't seem too out of order with the cost. Although upon making an appointment today, They wanted me to take some other test first, X-ray's of chest to check lungs and heart. They said it was standard procedure but somehow I felt like they were padding the bin. Is this really standard? If anyone else has any idea I would like to know.
