  1. Chic is ok regarding insurance...93 baht per day extra and u get basic plus optional insurance... but i will go for mobile car rent...very professional, great deals, mostly new cars, fully insurance coverage(also theft etc), free airport pickup plus even a 10% discount, if booking 4 weeks in advance.and mostly important farang owned/farang manager/managing director! Getting a new honda city or nissan almera for about 750 baht a day then, if talking about 3 weeks..(small cars even cheaper!)...think cannot get really better and renting from this "facebook guys" private without mostly even proper insurance etc. ..no thnx!! And the car rental companies offering 24/7 road assistance too!

  2. Has anybody ever used the Chic car rental company in Phuket/Thailand? (www.chiccarrent.com)

I'm planing to rent a car for about 2/3 weeks when arriving beginning of april at Phuket airport..

Their rates seemed to be very "fair" plus the whole "package" looks quite good actually..!

I haven't really heard about this company but compared to Budget, Sixt etc. they really offering good deals and operating since 2004 already!(about 800 Baht/day for a Honda City for example..)

    Any reviews/infos highly appreciated!

    Thnx a lot

  3. Hi!

What is the easiest/"cheapest" way to go from Samui to Koh Phangan?

(How long do I need for the boat ride from S. to Phangan?)

And from where/which location do the ferries/boats start?

Is it ok just to do this on a day trip? Would like to rent a motorbike on Koh Phangan then and just check the island out..

    Happy for any info/tip/recommendation.

    Thnx a lot

  4. Yeah pizza/italian food and besides few german dishes..very, very common...as the chef was working/cooking at a Pizza place plus before German restaurant, so absolutely great/delicious! And im pimping NOTHING! Just was trying it out, food was great plus place quite busy as well, not empty at all! This is just my personal opinion...Just try it out or leave it! That easy!

  5. Try it out...The new chef just started now and of course people need to know it.... besides that I know all restaurants there, cosa nostra, agli, 2000, m&m, da sandro ....etc etc ... and pizza at Pizza 2000 is absolutely not bad at all compared to all the other places! And I know what I'm talking about as I had few restaurants as well plus I'm chef also.. but lets see and let the others judge about the German food... Up to u if want try or not...

  6. The owner is just back from Germany.... I know both restaurants, the restaurant next door as well snd i also know the italian owners...Few italian people told me that the Pizza at the 2000 place is great but they just didnt know before...I had restaurants too before (Pizza+German food) and Im quite sure that can taste the difference if food good or not! There are customers now and its picking up more and more as I can see daily..Italian place was not really that busy too in the last weeks/months and the high season is very low too! But better keep these comments for you and try check it out first and then judge! And again its not my place but I just liked it very much, thats all!

  7. Hi! No, not at Chalong Pier road...you have to take the small road/soi more or less opposite the Siam Commercial bank.Actually quite easy to find..just ask or look out for Soi Sukee...Everybody knows...Owner is German as well...having great Pizza too! Please let me/us know how u liked it. And no, not my place... Just tried it and was fantastic!

  8. Coming soon to Phuket again and need a prepaid sim card which is offering mobile data/internet as well.(at least 1 gigabyte for 2 weeks or 1 month)

    Any recommendations?

Checked the AIS plus True page but most infos are in Thai and there are so many different packages... Connection should be also quite fast as well! (not theses 512 kbps offers..)

    Thnx a lot

  9. What happend to the German bakery in Rawai (Fruit of Trang, "corner" of Wiset/Saiyuan)?

There was a German owner who was running it with his wife...and then last time I saw a for sale sign..

Any ideas? Or did he just move to another location?

    Thnx
