2 story is cheaper per sm, because you save on roofing/plumbing/foundation/wiring.

The price for the 2 story level is more expensive than one story , I did my one story house on a 80 cm sanitery Under house and I had big discussion bargain because the foreman was considerind as a 2 levels house, because they were considering a one level house if it was built on the ground directly , 90 square meters with laka see (zinc) all beam in iron big fondation , big pillards 950'000 THB architech plan 30'000 THB (I highly recommend ) and 3 month of nigtmare and stresss, good luck

I once had a GF from the PI. She was an upper class girl from Manila. She lived and worked in BKK; her parents sent her money every month to supplement her income.

She used to call me five times a day. The fifth call killed me: she'd be crying her eyes out and saying how much she loved me. In the end I really hated her.

Your relationship with the Thai girl is over. Move out, and move on.

Your best bet is to enjoy Thailand and focus less on little girlies. Most Thai girls are rather dull.

Thailand is extraordinary in that it has so much to offer. Explore it; discover it; savor it!

I a leaving with mygirl friend now wife for more than 9 years , she is some time hormonaly Moody but most of the time it is is funny to leave with.

  3. sin sod his a big story for thaïs people, at least the one I know in Phibun Mangsan, and are rather expensive in thai-thai mariage not un commun 300'000 , 500'000 thb.

    I did pay.

It depend in what kind of sociaty you are going to leave in,

after 10 years of social life in Pattaya at least one partie per week average , the girls that do not have a defined satus
hide themseves or avoid Relationship with married women because they will loose FACE

Some do , some don't ... it's a thai cultural tradition that is slowly fading year after year.

It's not mandatory, it's a personal choice whether you want to give a sin sod or not.

Maybe discuss building the house rather than giving the sin sod, also the family may agree this is a better idea.

BTW ..... I believe this has been discussed 1,000 times before on TV. Just search ' sin sod '

Sin-sot is not only an institution for pharang, we have a house in Phibun Mangsahan and the sin-sot for thai people are quite higth le last mariage 2 years before 300'000 thb the guy came make love few time and not come back ----> loose 300'000 thb.

an other niece has a thai boyfriend lawyer the girl 22 , thai man in his 40's the sin-sot has been set a 500'000 thb.

If you love this women I suggest that you perform a Thai mariage, these people gain the face if you do and sure the sin sot will be count in front of all the guest

what you will have negotiate with the family is your problem , but less than 100'000 thb will be a rediculous proposition.

70 years in France the woment had to pay the dot.

good luck many guy here in Pattaya do not care about mariage and family but by and by the bitterness of their state come more more when confronted

with other women they loose FACE

    Good luck in your choices

My own opinion is that the 90 day report is no big deal, I do mine by post. It would be more of a problem if it had to be done in person.

What I would like to see would be something on the lines of a 5 yr or 10 yr visa issued for those that have married/family/children etc or have been residing in the Kingdom by whatever appropriate visa for more than 5 consecutive years can then get a "long stay" permit or something on those lines.

I do my 90 days by internet no problem

The compressor will not run all the time, once the room cools, the inside unit fan (on auto) will switch to a lower speed, and if the room reaches the set-point temperature, the compressor will be turned off (or slowed for invertor units).

Don't set the temperature too low (perhaps 24-25 DegC), only use it when you need it, and keep the fan on Auto.

Your average consumption should be less than you predict. Seal doors and windows to keep the cool air in.

As to the rating, yes 18 KBTU sounds high for a 26 sqm room, but not by much. That is what I have in my bedroom.

Those aircon boxes in Homepro do not cool the room much, they use water to generate a cool draught. If your bedroom is at 34 DegC when you turn in, you will be glad of the 18,000 BTU rating. A fan can be a good substitute on cooler nights.

I bougth the last Daikin Inverter 24'000 BTU so nice , very silent , I do not ear the compressor when i seat on the balcony , the compressor never stop but modulate , devided my electric bill by 2 , A/C + hot water Kitchen and Shower 1400 THB/Mth before double.

But it comes at a price instalation 45'000 THB

I cannot live without AC in Asia ,

2 months before I changed my old AC that blow and make noise like Jumbo Jet and changed it by the last DAIKIN inverter a pure deligth

Expensive at instalation but I devided by 2 the electric bill.

  9. You can still apply for an extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon retirement. In fact immigration would prefer you keep applying for it instead of one based upon marriage.

If so I think it will simple to go on like this, thanks

    Yes it would be simpler.

First time I post a question on thaivisa,

I am french but I think that the anglosaxons are much more organized that the french

    BRAVO

  10. I retiree I apply for my retirement visa since 10 years ...I have 800'000 THB in bank no problem.

I married my partener this january 2015.

it seams that the mariage visa seams a litle bit more procedural at the Thai Immigration , visit , photos....

The question even if i am officialy married is still LEGAL that I apply as a normal retiree (800'000 THB) ?

Does somebody as any experience of Marriage visa in Jontiem?
