I guess Biden was responsible for groceries going up in the UK, France, Germany and the rest of the world? Dig deeper. Inflation was a world-wide problem coming out of COVID. Easy to blame without thinking why. -

Why aren't you clapping & giving kudos to Biden/Harris for having the best major developed economy in the world? Are you a hater when the US has good news? -

The uneducated are fooled by headlines. You need to dig a little deeper. "U.S. employers added a scant 12,000 jobs in October — but the labor market is likely not as weak as that number implies. That's because the number was skewed by an ongoing strike at Boeing and by the impact of Hurricanes Milton and Helene. The unemployment rate, which is less subject to temporary distortions, held steady at 4.1% in October, according to the Labor Department report released on Friday." https://www.npr.org/2024/11/01/nx-s1-5173664/economy-jobs-unemployment-hurricanes-boeing-strike -

No resentment. Just amazed that Trump can be a bad businessman but they myth persists among the cult that he is not. He bankrupted 6 hotel and casino businesses (who loses money on a casino??) because he over-leveraged them. And then there are these failed businesses: Trump Shuttle -- FAILED Trump University -- FAILED Trump Vodka -- FAILED Trump Steaks -- FAILED Trump Mortgage -- FAILED GoTrump.com -- FAILED But the biggest con of all was when he said in 2016 he would fund his political campaign with his own money. "I don't need anybody's money." -- Trump But here he is scamming his supporters for political donations and hawking them everything from t-shirts to watches to sneakers to coins, etc. Can't everyone see the con? -

He and his kids would be working at McDonald's if Donald didn't start out with his Daddy's money. Trump would be richer if he had just put Daddy's money in an Equity REIT instead of wasting money on developing properties. He underperformed the real estate index by almost 50%. Of course you would expect that from a guy who's bankrupted 6 companies. But you Trumpsters are still snowed by the conman. "Starting with Trump’s professed net worth of “more than $200 million” in an interview published by the New York Times in November 1976, Griffin says the FTSE NAREIT All Equity REITS index compounded return would have returned $23.2 billon at the end of 2015, “considerably above Mr. Trump’s recent self-reported net worth of approximately $10 billion.” https://www.marketwatch.com/story/buffett-puts-money-on-monkey-to-outperform-trump-as-an-investor-2016-08-02 -

Those are the only two jobs Trump is good at. -
LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE! And Trumpsters still believe this guy is honest and truthful? Trump will do and say anything that he thinks benefits him personally. Whether that's the truth or lies. And mostly it's lies. If Trump had a chance he would kill the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) in a heartbeat. And he'd replace it with "concepts of a plan." https://edition.cnn.com/2024/10/31/politics/aca-trump-repeal-affordable-care-act/index.html

You can't get much better statistically than a 99% confidence level. "The incumbent political party is favored when the Dow is up year-to-date, according to a prediction model with a 99% confidence rating." I guess all the Trumpsters will be hoping for a market crash before the election. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-stock-market-gives-this-candidate-a-70-chance-to-be-the-next-u-s-president-a6fecfa7?mod=panda_marketwatch_author_alert

That's a pretty incredible headline coming from the Wall Street Journal; a right-wing Rupert Murdoch owned newspaper. The Biden/Harris economy is rocking-and-rolling. "Whoever wins the White House next week will take office with no shortage of challenges, but at least one huge asset: an economy that is putting its peers to shame...it is outrunning every other major developed economy." https://www.wsj.com/economy/the-next-president-inherits-a-remarkable-economy-7be2d059

I agree they should abolish it. It's complicated and gives too much power to the sparsely populated states. I hope they do abolish it in the future. One easier way to keep an eye on who's winning on November 5th -- if Harris wins the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania she'll be president (unless she loses the one vote in Nebraska which is unlikely). If Trump wins the states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia he'll be president.

Hear it from the man who built Trump's fake persona. Trump would never have been president without gullible people buying into what a fake show was selling. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/story/apprentice-exec-broke-silence-donald-trump-dictator?utm_campaign=cm&utm_source=crm&utm_brand=vf&utm_mailing=VYF_SubPersRec_1_02012020&utm_medium=email&hasha=f7addae68f812491684a0bdd10fca731&hashb=5782497ca4dffef61969a8b4ed0cd9341caa5b8b&hashc=84ebfa5fedb1b6cd8b20b26db58ee04e569a2a759c11bc17960d58db690255aa&mbid=CRMVYF092120&utm_term=VYF_CYGNUS_PERSRECS

The Electoral College is not a physical place. It is a process where the US decides who wins its presidential election. In just about every country that has elections the winner is the candidate who gets the most votes by the people. However, in the US the presidential candidates are not elected directly by popular vote but through the Electoral College process. The process of using electors comes from the US Constitution. It was a compromise between a popular vote by citizens and a vote in Congress. So instead of the winner being whoever got the most votes nationally it comes down to who wins 270 electoral votes. Each state is assigned an electoral vote count basically by its population (it's actually by the amount of representatives and senators in each state). The bigger population states have more electoral votes -- California, New York, Texas, Florida, etc. So instead of a national race it comes down to a state-by-state race. If you win the state by one vote you get all of that states' electoral votes. Thus the votes are not divided by a proportional vote count from the state. It's a winner take all. There are 538 total electoral votes. So you need to win 270 votes (one vote majority) to win the presidency. The US is a very divided country so people will call some states Blue states and others Red states. The Blue states normally vote Democrat and the Red states Republican. The states that are evenly mixed are called Purple states or Swing states. That's why it's so important for each party to win the Swing states of Wisconsin, MIchigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada. In the end it comes down to tactics and counting electoral votes by state. Each side will add up their safe states electoral votes (ones they already know will vote Blue or Red because more Democrats or Republicans live there) and then they must pick the Swing states they need to win for the Democrat candidate (Harris\) or the Republican candidate (Trump) to get to 270 and win the election. In 2016 Hillary Clinton won the most votes nationally but lost in the electoral college. It came down to a state-by-state race. When you added up the electoral votes in the states Clinton won she had fewer than Trump even though she had won the most vote nationally. This article from the BBC will explain more. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53558176

I hope Republicans can keep an open mind with what Jimmy has to say...or actually what Trump has to say.

I agree Trump didn't tell the joke. But what's important is how did Trump react after the fact. It was huge news all over the media and internet. It took Trump more than 24 hours to say anything let alone show sympathy or apologize for the remarks made at HIS rally. All the speakers' remarks are usually vetted beforehand. So how did Trump respond? In his usual fashion of not taking any responsibility for anything negative. "I don't know him. Someone put him up there. I don't know who he is." -- Trump Just like he didn't take any responsibility for his administration's poor response to COVID. Trump may have sat behind the Resolute Desk but he sure did lose Harry Truman's sign that said, "The buck stops here." And just like Trump didn't tell the joke...Harris didn't call Trump supporters garbage.

I hope the Puerto Ricans in all the swing states rise up and tell Trump what they really think of him on November 5th. He's the guy that called Puerto Rico "dirty" and wanted to trade it to Denmark for Greenland. https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/3646395-book-trump-wanted-to-trade-puerto-rico-for-greenland/
