On the first departure from the country you will show both passports and immigration will stamp you out of the country in the new one after transfering your entry stamp to it.

Do you first need to go to your local Immigration Office, after your new passport arrives?

Or do you simply present the old and new passport when leaving the country on a border run, and they do everything at the border?

Well, then, if it's that easy, perhaps he should just teach in a school here.  ????

Working here, as opposed to online, that would require a WP etc. ????

I do understand why TEFLers etc that jump through legal hoops at the sound of a Thai's whistle, get upset at the people who make their living online legally without having to do any of that nonsense. It can't be pleasant, and sure it ruffles a few feathers.

do I need a work permit to teach online; students outside Thailand and money not deposited in Thailand, so totally out of country, except that I am here in LOS? I am on a retirement extension of stay.

    Perfectly legal.

Can go to do it at any of the 1000's of Co-working spaces around Thailand that cater to such.

Maybe Thais should have to have a Residence Certificate, like we foreigners have to when buying or selling.

They do, their Thai ID Card, can't even buy a sim card without it.

You can get one too, it will be pink in colour, but will replace the need for a Residence Certificate when buying things. ????

My job is more or less to sit at a table or at the counter and welcome customers with basic questions like “Where are you from?” Or “How long are you staying in Thailand?”.

Quickly followed by 'Would you like to come back please?' if I ever walk in there.

Call the local immigration or labor department if you want an answer.

programming alone to steal passwords is not something an untrained man.

Pretty easy actually, with all the Keylogger software out there. Just get a free trial, paid subscription, or more likely download for free via torrents.

Get somebody to click on a link that you send them, then there you go, all their keystrokes are logged on your program for you to see.
