It doesn't bother me the fact that you can only travel in cattle class like a student. Up to you.

Once you try first class you will never go back.

Great News from the front end cesspit!

It gives the rest of us peasants the privilege of never having to meet, sit beside or, God forbid, have to converse with you or your ilk!

I dont have that problem on 'first class carriages' Singapore airline. I get my own little room. You should try it one day.

I suppose you don't actually carry anything to "carry on" as you will have one of your minions to do it for you!

    nobody claims winter fuel allowance.

    WRONG!

You do not normally need to claim if you are receiving any other pension benefits but if you are not claiming/receiving any pension benefits then you MUST claim!

Payments are usually made automatically between November and December. If you receive any other benefits, you should get your Winter Fuel Payment at the same time.

If you haven’t received your payment by mid-January, it’s best to call the office that pays your benefits.

Those who don’t receive other benefits, who did not get a payment last winter or have deferred their state pension since their last Winter Fuel Payment will need to make a claim. You can do this by calling the Winter Fuel Payment Centre on 0800 731 0160 or by filling in a form that can be downloaded from the gov.uk website.

    From your link:-

Full Fact writes: "A lot depends here on how to interpret which country people are 'coming directly from'.

"It could be argued, for instance, that as the people crossing the channel are coming directly from France - which is not the country they initially fled - they don’t have the right to claim asylum in the UK.

I suggest you provide the full quote in future and do not edit out the last sentence!

    The full quote is;

Full Fact writes: "A lot depends here on how to interpret which country people are 'coming directly from'.

"It could be argued, for instance, that as the people crossing the channel are coming directly from France - which is not the country they initially fled - they don’t have the right to claim asylum in the UK.

"However, in 1999 a UK judge ruled that 'some element of choice is indeed open to refugees as to where they may properly claim asylum'.

I have highlighted your omission above!
