I don't like your chances of changing an external aspect of a condo and with good reason. Internal you shouldn't have too many issues as long as you aren't cutting walls.
Can I ask why you want to change something like window types? You will have no chance of changing window opening dimensions.
I will not change the size of the window, I change want to put real double-glazing windows. I live in Sukhumvit 50 in Bangkok and I can't get used to the sound, I plan to show them similar outside color so basically the difference would be small and not really visible from outside but I want to come prepared.

Good morning,
I have a basic question regarding rules in condominium. I own and live in a unit of a condo in Bangkok.
I already made renovation in it and the juristic office was already a pain in the *ss.
It went quite fine (I had to put a 36000THB deposit to the condo) but I plan to make new renovation (change windows).
This looks more complicated due to the fact that it will be visible from the outside.
However, I plan to do the same outside color so it should be almost invisible.
Anyway, I asked for the "rules and regulations" of the condo before telling them what I plan for my renovation.
Usual answer: no have, only one English page in the elevator stating "no pets allowed in the condo", "no airbnb" ...
And one page in Thai that my gf will translate to me soon. However, sounds a bit light.
So my question is: who make the rules for a condo and as a owner what are my rights ? I asked the juristic office which company manage the condo, they said metro property management but can't find any information online.
Thanks

So many answers.
To all the Brigitte Bardot's fan, go take care of all the sick soi dogs, tourist's elephants and tigers before explain to me how a life in an apartment with a full belly and a lot of love is a terrible life for a cat.
For all the productive answers, thank you guys.
And for the judging answer, I couldn't care less but thank you for your participation.
I have all the info I need but please continue the debate, I'm having a good laugh ?

Good thread question. I think that the biggest threat is actually in getting the cat into the building and to your room. If I had allegedly brought my cat to my condo, getting him upstairs would have been my main concern. As my alleged cat doesn't meow that much, once in the room, I am safe. But the alleged beast likes to hang out on the balcony looking around at everything, allegedly, so if I did have a cat in my condo, her getting spotted on the deck is my main concern, if I had a cat in my condo...allegedly.
Well, a friend of mine used to live in the same condo (different building so different juristic office staff) and I used to go fed it when my friend was out of town for a night or two and he used to meow a lot but he never got any complains or problems.
The problem is the juristic staff of my building and I aren't friends so I'm pretty sure they would never be convenient with me (and they know I won't with them).
I guess I won't take the risk as I don't want to have to give away the cat.
Thanks for all the replies.

You can be sued by the condo and legally told to remove the cat. If you do get a cat make sure it never makes a noise and you clean the box everyday
Thank you for the helpful answer.

If the cat never ever leaves your appartment -the the risk is low.
You obviously think that there is one rule for you -and a different rule for everybody else.
No, I obviously think that there is a rule for everybody and my question was: what are the risks if I get caught breaking it.
But thank you for your pointless answer ?

Hi,
quick question about pet in condominium. It is forbidden in my condo to have a pet.
What are the risks of having one (cat) ?
I don't rent, I'm the owner of the unit.
Thanks for the help.

I didn't read but they probably need all their employee in the same bank (in my factory we all have BBL account) so they can transfer the payroll easily !
Just open a KBANK account by yourself and give her the number, it should be fine !

Where ? What do they do ?
For exemple me, arrived a 23. Work in big manufacture company (over 300 persons) as a manager, 4 years already, very good salary. Will change job soon to get more experience (they call me, I wasn't looking). My ambition is to have my own company in the next 10 years.
So what sort of advice would you give another 23 year old wanting to work in Asia. Would you say to them the sky is the limit in Thailand, opportunities galore ? Would you say there are better opportunities here than say China or Indonesia for manufacturing ?
Somebody earlier mentioned a tremendous decline of expatriate workers in Thailand, and it is true. There are some wonderful pearls in Thailand, but it has been better to deal with Thailand from the outside of its borders.
When you open your Thai business, be sure to open up a Hong Kong or Singapore bank account when accepting overseas payment.
The advice I would give is, get a diploma and a first experience abroad before going to asia (I spent a year studying in England so it helped me to speak better english). Then don't come here because you liked the 2 weeks you spent here during holidays and look all asian country (personally I was looking in Vietnam at the begining and I was contacted to work in Thailand). And the last advise would be to work as much as possible at the begining, I know plenty of factory with foreign boss which are looking for good foreign managers.

The wisest use of time is spent with hardworking, productive Thais. The expat community in Bangkok never struck me is large nor dynamic. Given the current situation, it will probably shrink more.
I think a lot of the retired crowd don't realise how many younger working expats there are in Bangkok - they don't drink in the same bars, they don't post on the same forums, and you probably just assume they're tourists when you do see them around, but they exist in large numbers.

Thailand is full of retirees mostly. Few work in Thailand as it is not allowed or overly complicated. Thailand is to be avoided if you have drive and ambition.
You couldn't be more wrong...

In 11 years i have never been to Pattaya. Nor do i wish to. Im not knocking it, but it's not really my idea of a fun place.
I have a friend who finds this fact unbelievable.
Your post is in the wrong topic. "What are the biggest lies farang tell each other?" is the right one !

I would look on eBayGood afternoon,
I bought the new guitar hero last december on my PS4, but I can't find anywhere in bangkok to buy a second guitar (without the game) to play with a friend.
It is the new model of guitar with 6 buttons so I can't use previous model.
Do you have any ideas ?
So far I tried Pantip, MBK and the shop in terminal 21 where I bought the game.
Cheers.
Or playasia

About ebay, I will give a look but I'm looking for a shop where I can go before this weekend
Thanks.
