  1. Hi Richard,

The cashiers check is only excepted from a Thai bank NOT UK.

It is a pretty simple procedure though, just go into any Thai bank, produce the money and ask for the cashiers check.

It has to be given to the British Embassy when the initial application is made also.

Hi Rj 81,thanks for that advice,I will get a check from my Bank in Udon Thani.Yes I did realize that the payment has to be presented at the initial application stage.

Once again thaks for the advice

  2. I have Downloaded the relevant page form the United Kingdom Embassy Website in Bangkok, and the fee Listed is 18,200.00Baht for a settlement Visa for my Wife.It Says that the correct fee in the form of a Cashiers Cheque is the only form of Payment acceptable, thats fine. What it does not make clear is wheter it is a United Kingdom Banks Cashier's cheque or from a Thai Bank.

Also when they say Cashiers Cheque,is that the same as a Bankers Draft?

Could you please advise,as I dont want to Fly all the way from the UK,and find that there has been an error on my part

    Thjanks

  3. Hello everyone.I am coming back to Thailand In August to spend some time with my wife.I have recently returned to the Uk to work but will be coming back so that we can put in a Visa Application.

For the time we have to spend in Bangkok,I want to make it a time for my Wife to remember.Does anyone know of any Hotels in Bangkok that Have Jacuzzi's or at least Whirlpool Baths :o actually in the Hotel room or suite,as I have told the wife that I will try to find a room with a Jacuzzi.

I hope to hear from you all soon

    Thanks

  4. I am married to a Thai national, and been living in Thailand for nearly a year, but now want to return to the UK with my wife. However because I have been living and working here,I do not have the same sort of ties in the Uk that most Men have that want to take thier wife back.

I don't own any property in the Uk, do not have savings in the UK, and do not have a job in the UK,so does this preculde me from being able to return home with my Wife

    Please advise me

    Richard
