i agree - it would be useful if they gave the defination for 'accident' that the stats are based on
Of course the figures aren't accurate - what did you expect?Hard to believe that passenger vans only had 100 accidents in a year.
That is just 2 a week... If that was for Phuket alone I would believe it, but for the whole of Thailand?
BTW they probably mean accidents in which a fatality or serious injury occured amongst the passengers on the van. Anything else like a squashed motorcyclist or two, is hardly worth bothering about.

7-11 Japanese owned company not USA
7-11 is an American company, and you can certainly use a credit card in any retailer in the U.S. One exception I know of is Winco supermarkets, where they don't like to pay the commissions. So people use cash or debit cards.
Do you really think a huge Japanese retailer is going to pay 3%?Goodbye fast an efficient lines ... Hello 30 minutes to buy a liter of water.
And hello insane interest rates for the people least able to afford them.
The 2% - 3% Visa charges will now be passed along as higher prices.
Why?
Because what has worked perfectly for decades needs to be "improved" so a gigantic Foreigner company can get a percentage of sales.
Borrowing money should be for items one most can not readily afford in one lump sum, a car, a house, a boat. Not a candy bar.
How about people that pay off their card every month and get benefits such as cash back or airline miles?
You are thinking like a skint dinosaur

all is good ? Mmmmmmmm
Day 1 was 52 dead. This number is for both day 1 and day 2.This is on the official day one. So all the talk from the current people in charge has done little to change things. What a surprise. What a shame of so many wasted lives. If this is a civilised world you can keep it.
Still below average though so all is good.

The building was not on fire so if he had a change of heart why not just get the elevator ? I suspect he didnt actually aim for the bag as the story tends to suggest.

April 1st ??

Just spent 2 weeks touring North and North East - burning literally everwhere and haze stopping the sun getting through.

all a licence shows is that at sometime in the last five years you had a passport and visa to stay in Thailand - it does not show you have a current valid visa.
Right!Motorbike license does the same thing, right?

Why does the headline not say 'or photocopy' - maybe because less people will click on the story. More hits more advertisers - more money.
-
yes they are ok because not pre mixed hours beforeAnd of course....lets not forget the "buckets" in KPN, KPP, KT and etc......they're ok I guess?
-
So what are the consequences if your overstay is less than 90 days ? http://overstay.immigration.go.th/advice.html
-
Mmmm off course this is an April fool but perhaps a little early! Similar to last year - 90 day report at 7/11
-
Yes you can do it.
Great!
Thanks for the quick response.

Yes apparently blue book needs to be shown now along with rental agreement. This was mentioned at Pattaya Expats Club today.

When you come to Pattaya, you need to wear a bulletproof best at all times ,also make sure you are armed and never ever walk alone after lunchtime, especially down beach rd ,there are lots of Indians who will acost you ,and blue pickups with seats in the back ,they will honk their horns and ask you to get in then try and get as much ofyour money as they can, beware it is an evil place ,and don't get me started on the Russians up in Jomtien
I assume if it's thats bad you are not here now and will never return ?

Surely the clothing, wig and spectacles that were alegedly taken off in the toilet is crucial to linking the suspect via DNA - yet there has been no mention of efforts to retrieve the articles.......very strange.

the original hoe below (notice the broken corner ) and hoe in the news clip above.
I do not understand your logic as we only see one side of the hoe at any given time. One side has a broken edge and my guess is the other side isn't broken - so the photo is of the unbroken side and the other photo shows the broken side - simple.

The story states that the apartments were searched at the request of the Thai authorities - if true then hardly Malaysia leading the way.
Also i suspect the recent story which stated that the Thai authorities would not be sending officers to Malaysia was perhaps a red herring so as not to spook the suspects.
If anyone should be blamed for the amount of miss information we read on TV - perhaps the media should be at the top of the list - i think 'lost in translation' is the main culprit and it beggars believe at times that these stories are not proof read by someone with a grasp of the proper translation from thai to english language
-
Looks like Malaysia leading the way in this investigation: suspects/informants in custody, good leads and info.
Didn't RTP recently announce they were cancelling their fact-finding trip to KL on account Malaysian authorities were barking up the wrong tree and had no substantive info regarding the case?
-
All we know from the report so far is that this individual is only guilty of making a phone call to another suspect and yet the headline reads 'Bangkok bomb suspect' - the lengths the media will go to with a totally unfounded headline is unbelivable but believable because all they
care about is how many readers then 'click' on the story - sad but true

Just bought today Tesco Lotus Pattaya
-
'report to the authorities' - perhaps since the media are reporting this they could at the very least explain how an owner actually carries out the 'reporting proceduce' but then again that would be asking too much.
