There are also 2 trains daily from Thonburi railway station at 7:30 and 13:05. The long 4 and half hour journey in 3rd class costs only 42THB. Did it a couple of times. Can be very crowded on weekends or holidays.

I still cannot pay my PEA bill online or via the app. It just shows zero.
My paper bill shows "Due date May 4", but there are three new lines that read:
"All users get 3% discount on their electricity bill as shown in the bill.
Users with 5 Amps meter type 1.1.1 do not need to pay if they use less than 90 units.
The bill for April 2020 can be paid until the 21st of October 2020"
So it looks like we do not need to pay until October if I understand this correctly... That's for PEA in Chiang Mai.
Same bill here in Bangkok, my wife contacted the company they told "please wait, No pay now". Same our doughter living in government appartment house, where they have electric free for 3 months and they cut the monthly appartment rate off 50%.

I am curious to know when flights to Germany will resume?
Also hear that there is still 14 days quarantine on arrival in Germany?
Any updates from Germans appreciated .... Danke!
Flights out to Germany were never stopped. Lufthansa flies 3 times a week. Only for inflight to Thailand passengers are not allowed. Now you get a 14 day quarantine on arrival. But i heard not enforced for everyone. U can check the German embassy webside for updates.

I use big shopping malls only if i need to go to toilet. So 2 hours time limit more than enough for myself. I shop more at local markets to help the ordinary people.

Found it on the net:
On May 11, 1949, an official proclamation changed the name of the country to "Prathet Thai", or "Thailand", by which it has since been known. The word "Thai" means "free", and therefore "Thailand" means "Land of the Free." Population: 65 million.
Maybe they should change the name again.

Im having a larf as she had to go without for 7 days before that ha ha ,, she is lovely when sober but a pain in the butt when tink tonk dunk even on messenger !!!!!!Im hoping the ban is kept on her for months ha ha
Same here my local store charge now 70THB instead 56THB for a Big Chang. He says the 2 large beer distributers where he is buying, charge him higher prices. I think its Covid surcharge.

Some fun facts about WHO.
• Tedros the favored choice by CCP to head the agency.
• USA the biggest financial supporter (although that may not last much longer).
• Bill & Melinda Gates 2nd largest supporter (pushing vaccines for everyone).
WHO should be resolved immediately. They only cause unnecessary panic and thus destroy the global economy. The organization together with Bill Gates should be held responsible, for what they had done to the world. Billy Boy wants to vaccinate all the world. Hope this never will happen.

I use Air Asia quite often. For all my paid flights i did not flying ( were about 7 or 8flights through all the years) i got back my airport taxes, before Covid. Now actually i have 4 flights cancelled due to Covid. For all i requested Credit account. One i got already 1.700 THB waiting time was 4 weeks. For the other 3 cancelled flight i requested 3 weeks ago and i am sure i will get the credit, too. Its a litle bit complicated to request for it but i did never had any problems. Nok Air and Thai Lion never gave me airport taxes back.

Shr did buy some bananas though so im saved.????
It seems you live in a bad district. Here where i living are 8 mama shops inbetween 400 meters of my house and the half of them selling beer. Only backdoors these days and only for people they can trust. And my favourite shop is very well prepared for the next couple of weeks if necessary. I am not stocked up from the beginning of the ban, because i know you could buy beer as usual as on any other bans like Buddhist holidays or election days. Living here to long for starting to panik. So one of my thai family members bringing the daily stuff we are needing for enjoying our dinner with the family together.

Since I ignore unreasonable bans, I drink now daily and much more than usual to express my kind of protest against this ban. If the alcohol ban is lifted again, I will return to normality and will limit my couple of beers to 2 - 3 times a week.

You can sit with your family (thai or farang) together and eat and drink if they live in the same house. But it's against the law (in the moment) to do it with friends and family members who live otherwhere.
Why this is so difficult to understand by some people? We live in two separate houses directly next to each other not 10 meters away. In house 1, i and my wife with doughter. House 2 Mama and papa of my wife with one sister of my wife and her husband. Few streets away another sister of my family with 4 family members. They discuss together the daily news and what will happen in the near future and we are helping each other with food and tips how we can survive this crisis. Everybody now with no income and nobody qualified for governments 5.000 THB help program. So you think its against the law to sit down with family. If its so, so its very difficult to understand , yes.

Krabi: Scandinavian pensioners/Thai women arrested for contravening emergency decree at house drinks party
Picture: Naew Na
The Ao Nang police chief Pol Col Apichart Jinapen sent in his men after he got a tip that a group of foreigners and Thai women were enjoying themselves in the garden of a house having a drinks party.
Plenty of evidence in the form of beer and spirits and mixers was discovered.
Eight people were taken in to face charges of contravening the emergency decree rules on congregating.
Naew Na said there were five Thai women and three foreigners. They then listed the names of four Thai women and four Scandinavians.
The Thai women were aged 28,39, and two of 45. The foreigners were Norwegians aged 62 and 63 and Swedes aged 65 and 74.

-- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2020-04-16I sit with my Thai family daily same as on the picture inside our garden. 6-8 person, enjoy our dinner together, of course with a couple of cold beers. All our neighbours do the same. Its thai tradition enjoy food and drink together. At these days only different thing, i strictly have my own bottle, other family members share bottle as they always do, together mixed with ice. So its not allowed sit with family or good friends of family together??? Come on.
