Hi everybody and thanks for all the ingormations.

A little feed back as I have just entered Phuket under the sanbox program.

Exiting the airport, they did not checket about Thailand plus but they checked about Morchana and even had the first paper of my file of documents necessary to enter (COE, vaccines proof, covid insurance, shaba hotel booking confirmation etc...) stamped with a special "machana" word stamp onxe somevody at the "health counter" tested it on my phone. The Morchana that I had downloaded didn't work and as there were MANY peole to take care and assist, some specifically dedicated to Morchana on phones one kind, patient and helpfull lady erased it from my phone as it was not working properly and then downloaded it again and made it working. The hotel informed me that I had to come to reception for "QRcoding" with Morchana one time per day (I guess that it is because I have heard that already 3 people did not stay at the hotel that they had declared that they would stay in for their Sandbox and to check that people follow the rule). I was also asked at a seven eleven when I went to pay to QRcode.

They checked all my papers and there were so many people taking care (heath care, police/immigration, army, people there to assist for ALL pyrposes) at and after immigration that I felt as if I was a moovie star/Christiano Ronaldo or something like. They were taking photos of me everywhere as I was among the firsts to go through. They directly did a PCR Covid test at the exit of the airport with something looking like a biological weapon manipulation thing but with their usual Thai kindness everything happened kindly. They had some kind of test tube in a plastic bag already at my name. The plane landed at 9.30 a.m and I was requited by the hotel to wait for the result of that test which I had understood would happen in my hotel. The result came at 4 p.m and then I was autorised to go wherever I wanted.

They also informed me that the 6th day test would happen at laguna hotel as I am on a quite and beautifull beaxh in the North West part of Phuket.

The Singapore airlines plane was full at about 5% of it capacity of passengers and thus we all could sleep on 3 seats and were served as if we were owners of the plane (unfortunately not granted 1st class : - p).

The beach is VERY quiet but there remain good local small food shops and 1 massage shop with a VERY qualified lady who did me a very good quality massage and said me that I was her first customer dince 1 week that she had reopened. She gave me a few usefull indications about what was opened in tge area and were to rent a motorbike. Her massage was 400 Thb whereas they were avout an amazing 3200Thb in my hotel some veing promotionned 50% but that is a very nice hotel but knowing Thailand ratger well I will just necer massage or it there as it is their business and whaever EVERYTHING else in the hotel is so amazingly beautifull. She REALLY massaged good and skillfully.

That being said good luck and nixe trip to everybody and I hope that once my sandbox passed I will have rested well and be string to do what I have to do then...

Please urgent help needed and appreciated.

This application is mandatory to download one day prior to your arrival and it seems that you must enter your Certificate Of Entry (COE) number and then it generates a code that you will can show to immigration. Necertheless on the comments of that application it seems not to work with many people to say the least. Myself as soon as I start it it say that it has stopped itself. After going through a pure nightmare to get the COE which makes an hotel  and a plane reservation something so difficult and complicated and EXTREMLY stressfull to say the least as my goal is not tourism even if I will enjoy it my best and will try to relax but to attend to a police interview required by an attorney prior to a VERY dark court case that according to that same attorney will send somebody approximatively 25 years in jail (and I can add that it shall make 2 couple divorce in very dark circumstances and a last consequence of that "lovely" court case is that it will have a lawyer's licence cancelled. Thus readers can guess that I was very motivated to come to say the least as in the meantime the main guilty is let free and showing very high honorability and respectability that do not stop growing since 2.5 years and will not ve jailed before that the court case starts. That venue is the last stage before that the court case can finally start and us veing postponed due to covid circumstances since a bit more than 1 year...)this last problem appears one day prior to departure so that untill the very last day it will have generated stress and trouble... 

Can somebody indicate me what to dobif Thailandplus does not work on my phone and if authorities have planned an alternative solution like  lending or rebting some gps equiped thing or do they send you back to your country for not complying with the rules?

Oh ok so you mean that she was let in because she was over 50 (I think that she was 59).

Yes for the court case where I am expected to participate and which is postponed due to my unability to come with Covid crisis I am under 50 nor married to a Thai national nor employed here... (the Thai national suied risks over 20 years of jail for what has been done and the offenses that were commited in the Thai law and the evidences of those offense that have been forwarded to the court; to give an idea of the court case in penal law that I am talking about...). The case is already stressfull and includes great and heavy consequences but the impossibility of actually continuing it due to the impossibility to come to Thailand and the waiting whike the guilty is showing high honorability and respectability on social medias is very stressing in the meantime.

I have a very good reason to come to Thailand (to participate a court case) but cannot come as my country, France, is not qualified to apply for that 14 days quarantine visa due to too much Covid infections in France. How could she apply for that visa as a French? Living in a Covid free country or am I missing something about how to apply?

My personnal case (to attend a court case or a convocation by an attorney or a court...) is not given in all the reasons that qualify you to apply for that visa; at my great despair...

If staying 3 weeks as required will it be then possible to moove to Chiang Mai?

If having to stay at least 30 days will we have to get a 2+1 months visa and will it be possible to apply in the Thai embassy in France?

I offered a bank account with a few thousands Baths on it for the 1st birthday of a Thai child a few years ago, it was at the government savings bank and it was appteciated from the whole family who all looked at the papers with smile and thought that it was a good idea. Trchnically I did it with his grandmother with whom we went to the bank.

Thailand is more dangerous than Brazil? Wow, they have never been to Brazil. Some parts are very quiet but Oh my Budha some are amazingly dangerous... (with all due respect to Both countrirs and its people who are so great.)

When you come from Chiang Mai centre and pass in front of promenada (ex immigration) to sankampaeng and continue straight. Then I think it is about 15 km later on thevleft there is a hotspring. Do not stop at the first place on yhe right but continue untill you see another place with a beautifull park with lake and garden on a road on the right. They offer spring water spa and very good massages.

I will try to ask to my gf the name. Really enjoyable with very good quality massage and the whole thing must cost 500 per person with a good 200 tip to make them happy. I think that it is a government owned place.

Congratulation you must have been very proud when receiving your Thai passport.

I do not say that your cousin has to tolerate that but I also do not know the restaurant and the people involved.

Anyhow you have 3 choices

1 not speak and do the sale

2 speak and maybe loosing the sale

3 directly inform her that you do not want to sell tobher but with a potential retirement within 1 or 2 month your cousin may not be up to loose that now and wiqhing to finish with work. Then people working with that buying lady will go away and seek work somewhere else. Fortunately finding a job is very easy for a kitchen worker and that shouting shit may be catched back by Karma...

For the negatives ones: When somebody tries to figure out and understand better how somethings works why do you need so much to be so negative and sarcastic? If that is fun I enjoy but some people do not seem very fun if I may. Sorry if the way I ask sounds like if I had been stolen or conned somehow as I just try to avoid that (no need to explain me that the best way to become rich in Thailand is to come first very rich...). I try do do something positive and constructive. Thus Please be so kind so as to avoid unecessary idiocy.

I just know for my former Thai girlfriend that some people with good work and who have good savings in her village give money to people who need to borrow and take the Chanote as a couterpart untill the whole money is given back. She has also a family member whose work essentially consists in collecting money from people having some and lending it with the Chanote as a counterpart untill the whole amount is paid back at 5% per month and it seemed to work well from him; he is not trying as you can hear sometimes to steal the Chanote even if the money is given back, he is working very honestly (if that can be said so for 5% interest per month) 

And so being aware that they control everything through the owning of the Chanote I am trying to figure out if I can do same same starting to buy a piece of land in the future. I have Thai friends that I can fully rely on and I try to figure out how to do in the future.

No I have not been conned or whatever by people buying a pick up with the money I gave for a land. I just try to be more aware ... I have good money but nor the bank nor the insurances are giving a very interesting interest rate nor the apartment that I own ( maybe the stock exchange lottery can but I am allergic to that "lottery" concept that can go down) and as I have heard in several occasions and areas of Thailand that there can be an interesting interest on some fruits land I try to figure out if I can plan something there as I can have the oportunity (I prefer not to explain how and with who and where... because that would obviously lead to "unecessary" or even insulting comments). I do not understand everything at all of the Chanote system and law wich is why I try to have things explained here but of course I am aware that I cannot own land in Thailand. Why would I ask that otherwise? I would buy land in my name if that was possible...

: - ) sanook that so many people explain that I cannot own land in Thailand, from my questions you should guess that I am aware of that even if I do not speak a perfect English (please forgive me for it is not my mother tongue and I try my best to be clear).

In resume I just try to figure out if things can be somehow controlled owning a Chanote and how it works as I am aware of a few problems that can happen...

And as I am wise enough not to let the control of my money/my investment to somebody else just like that as we all know that it is and industry in our beloved Thailand (very very very beloved concerning myself) to manipulate things when some important amounts are involved and as I am currently checking my potential business partner. If I get involved in that I will can afford to loose what I will invest and not do it before that I know better "Khun partner".

I will ask more about some people's interesting answears to my questions. In some case I need a bit of translation done because some things are difficult to understand. I don't get some words.

It is (as usual in Thailand) more difficult than I would have thought but some comments are really interesting and helpfull for me and thanks very much for those.

But if the land is used by somebody ti grow fruits with the name of that Thai person on the Chanote because as a farang you cannot own the land; then if you have a problem with the first person can you pass the Chanote to another trustable Thai person so that she sells the land for you?

1)I have heard several times about Thai people using Chanote as a counterpart to hire money from friends, loan Sharks, people making credits in villages and other people/organisms...

Does that mean that if you own the Chanote of a land then you kind of own it or at least own the power to sell it? As a Farang can you buy some land for a friend to work it agricultural way and make money  and own the chanote and then if a problems happen and as you cannot own land pass the Chanote to another Thai friend that you trust 100 % to sell the land? Is it a specific Chanote type? 

2)If somebody wants to use a land to make a credit/mortgage, can he do it without the Chanote or is it compulsory?

3) how can you check that a Chanote has not been used for a mortgage or a credit with any kind of credit/mortgage institution?

If I was Budha, when people having sex with ladies 20 or 30 years younger than them die and come to the last judgement, I would force them to have sex with ladies 20 or 30 years older than them many times for a few years at last, that would make them understand what young ladies endured with them. They do not care hurting other people, they have so much self esteem and lack of compassion that they do not even care or see anything, nor feel ashamed of anything. I offered to my girlfriend 15 concrete pots (of the same kind as the photo included) for lemon trees with 2 varieties of lemon trees, 1 orange tree and 1 grapefruit tree brought in my suitcase from South of France where I come from. I worked the land inside 5 of the pots ( which is not only composed of land but also of 33% of a particular tree leaves and 33% of rice "shell"available for free in all Issan villages where they work rice) and paid one of her brothers in law to make the rest of the pots full and of course I bought Thai limes for the remaining pots. I did it on a piece of land that she had that was not used and I can tell you that she but also her family and the neighbours where quite happy about that and I cannot say you how much was it as U di not remember exactly but all in all it was not really expensive...

On another trip I came with 5 varieties of white grape and 5 varieties of red grape (raditional tasty varieties and not the new big beautiful and full of water but tasteless varieties ) and for sure that was much apreciated also. Everybody wanted some : - )

I tried many other plants and trees that did not work...

Just my small experience to try to give you an idea. You can also work several fruit trees from Thailand if she has some unused land somewhere not far from her home (may I suggest amoung other delicious Thai mangoes or pomegranate trees that grows well in Issan and makes a delicious and very healthy juice  "Ceb Ceb!!!" As they speak in Issan : - )))   )

jpnx the datas on your site are very interesting and quite impressive. thanks for providing it. Does the same thing exists for Europe and France in particular also? rabobank is there too and that would help a lot. I have just sold a land and it is very difficult to find something with an interesting rate and very secure. An equivalent table to the one that you provide would be very helpfull and interesting.

Concerning the investment visa can somebody explain where (what banks in Thailand and how can we estimate the safety of the deposit) can we check for the fixed interest deposit and what rate of interest can we expect investing on the securest account possible?
