My largest bar bill was 6,420 Baht at Rabbit Bar in Chiang Mai. Wasn't worth it. I asked and got a copy of the receipt as a souvenir... Should I get it framed?
I wish I had this sort of self control haha.

I think you're over simplifying it. All of these issues can and do happen in anywhere, not just Thailand.
A CPU, radar, cameras and the like are far better at judging speed, distance, closing velocity and cycling through all possibilities much better than the human brain.

Very sad.
There must be a less dramatic, and messy, way of ending one's life when health is a major factor.
Cocaine, and lots of it. That'll be my choice

Invest in some WiFi cameras.
They're great for peace of mind in the future when you're not around.
Connected to which wifi would that be? He's been gone 4 years with no talk about utilities being paid etc.

As a tall Westerner, I can confirm that I have encountered a few barriers/railings that I've found to be pretty low. Certainly below my centre of gravity.
5am, drinking drugging all night, a bit light headed, I could see someone taking a tumble.
I'm with you mate, I'm 196cm and definitely keep my distance after a bevvie or two. Even sober it's easy to misjudge.

Not been tracking cpu temps but will be water cooled next week.
Nope no overclocking.
Solid works was not playing happy with the 1060 so swapped it out for a Quadro P6000. Catia and Fusion 360 was fine with the 1060 though but they are not my primary CAD software.
Ah sorry, I missed the GPU swap. I was obviously curious how it would hold up.
I feel water cooling is essential anyway, should always be seriously considered.
Thanks for the swift reply and information.

Hang on. So what you guys are saying a distant relative of mine didn't die and I wasn't tracked down by the executor of the estate to receive 35mil euros? So I just wasted $5000aud for transfer fess??? Oh no.... ?

The case is huge man and heavy so I got the store technician to help me, he used a small flatbed trolley to roll it out to my truck and a bag of empty boxes for all the items that's used for the build (have to keep them for now in case of problems.), I gave him 100 baht as he been very helpful and polite.
I feel you with oversized cases. My Osidian 900D is a monster. Then fully loaded it's almost immovable lol.
Maybe not such a good idea seeing as I've got physical disabilities ?

Hi Don. Just out of curiosity have been tracking CPU temp of the 7700? I've seen concerns about temp spiking and as always I never trust everything I read on the wonderful world web.
Do you play around with overclocking at all?
Does CAD stretch the 1060 at all?
Thabks in advance

The name of the insurer has been posted, as well as the relevant clause.

Umm actually they do. Been riding in third world countries all over the world now for over 35 years and have been covered the whole time.
There is very few companies that specifically cover motorcycles and most are limited to under 125cc. They also stipulate you must have a license, be alcohol and drug free, wear all safety gear and not be breaking any laws at the time.
A lot of policies have transport cover as an option which relates to being a passenger in or on most vehicles. A large number of policies I have seen only have this at higher levels of cover.
without knowing what his policy is, the company that provided it and his level of cover it's all just speculation

Good to see someone in control and focused lol.
1060 is a great card especially considering price. And you're right, no point in purchasing something that is not going to be used to its max by you.
You look to have a good understanding of what you need, want and are prepared to spend.

My pleasure. Don't be too hard on yourself , everyone starts somewhere.
I've always dreamed of this kind of rig but never had the time to justify it.
I retired (forced) at the ripe old age of 36 so now this is a big part of my life.
Hard to believe I paid more for this than my actual car though, and I used to have a full track spec drift car and this is very similar cost to that 555 (and nearly as much fun!)

So far so good. (Glad Harbor is getting some business.) Just a few thoughts.
We all know DVD drives are obsolete but they do come in handy sometimes. For example, Thais often only have DVD players and maybe you wanna give them a video sometime. Maybe your son wants to play kids games on the big computer and you've got a DVD with a variety of them. Etc. I'm glad I have mine though I rarely use it.
That case is pretty good value but personally I don't like LED fans at night. You might consider the Fractal Designs, https://www.jib.co.th/web/index.php/product/readProduct/18349/27/index.html. Much better quality and gets more love in the reviews--but does cost significantly more. I'm a big believer in not skimping on a PSU or a case. Seen all kinds of mysterious problems ultimately caused by a junk PSU. And a good case will be with you for many years, through multiple builds.
How much RAM? Around here, the answer is usually the more the better. Surprised nobody came up with 32GB. I think for your needs 8GB is sufficient but if 16GB fits the budget, then can't hurt anything of course. At least you won't wonder if you should have got it.
Who knows, you might get into gaming someday. I'm assuming light video editing.
Re: installing Windows, if JIB does it then you can test out the machine before you even take it home. Now you can request to be present at the installation to watch, they don't mind at all. They should install all the drivers as well. You can do the configuration when you get it home--that'll take time and you'll need Google & some third-party utilities to help you out anyway. Even if you don't let JIB install Windows, they'll show you that the disk/USB will boot and ask you to install.
So let us know how this all goes: the birth of a new machine . . . .
I went with 32GB. Rather be looking at it than for it

I won't make any suggestions here as my desktop is up to approximately 800,000฿ at this stage ??

With Windows 10 64bit I would use minimum 16Gb ram. Never save at ram.
Remember if you want to upgrade RAM @ any stage for reliability it's best to keep samebatch numbers so you'll replacing the whole lot.

It's a pity that her school couldn't have given her some sound advice about riding a motorbike in Thailand, ['don't'], really essential if they valued her as an employee. Many teaching agencies in Thailand, especially the top-end ones, which supply teachers to good schools, won't allow their teachers to ride a motorbike here, it's written into the contract, and with good reason.
I find travelling by motorcycle in Thailand perfectly safe as long as one isfully aware of ones surroundings, had experience riding and one is skilled at any emergency manoeuvre required ie: emergency braking, quick change of direction etc.
Most accidents and injuries I see are through inexperience, ignorance or stupidity.
Heres hoping this woman avoids any long term, life altering injuries.

Every intersection on Samui has full line, do not overtake in intersection, off course you can turn.
Narrow road, villages, hills curves, basically you can not overtake on half the ringroad but nobody cares.
Had a close call the other year, turning out right on the ringroad, car coming from left had indicators to turn right, nooooooo he was overtaking in a busy intersection
I had my then three year old son with me.
He honked his horn and gave me the finger..... It was a western man in a Fortuner.
Gotcha, thanks for clarifying.
Wow, very close call. The fact it was a foreigner makes it even worse. Obviously assimilating to well with the locals
