  1. thanks Ubon joe,,but i think all responders have missed the point. I am retired in reciept of uk state pension,, therefore can without too many complications obtain m.e.non o with no financial proof apart from copy of pension letter and recent bank statement, and of course being over the age of 65. i enquired as to possibility of p,r , with the view that one day ,{and  i have no plans for the next 20 or 30 years } i may be slightly disabled and unable to attend those lovely border events, I am very grateful for all replies helpful or not .

  2. retired and inreciept of uk state pension.. over 70 yo. is it possible to obtain pr in thailand,  if so how??. i am one of the guilty few with no back up funds in case anybody asks. just thinking i am on my way to being over the hill and may get bored with the m/e non 'o' and the 90 day trips for exit re-entry fiasco.thank you in advance for any info, and the usual giggles.

  3. i believe as a uk state pensiiner that you can get non o ,just need pension letter which i have used for over five years year before last was informed that i could switch to non o me saving valuable space in my passport, a uk state pension makes life here very easy if you follow the rules be nice and if problems arise smile and go away to sort them.  thank god i di not have some of the money some expats have and all the problems that seem to arise. usually leading tl freefall experiance from their lavish condos....an immediate apology to all you poor wealthy expats.

  6. Yes basically,,i tend to give them as much as i have ,,yellow book ,, my land ladies blue book , her id,,all photo copies,, my five year old pension letter,, photo copied and translated,, my passport photo copied usual way,, my uk bank statement photocopied and translated,,,,since last run i have aquired my thai, pink id card so that will be included next time,, most of this not needed,, but they get anyway,,shows i am good little farange,,ha ha.. of course next time i will have my multi entry and expect no problems..

  7. presently getting non 'o' 90 days being uk state pensioner with no assetts. just returned from successful savanakhet run no problems, unlike two farange and 4 aseans ahead of me.

anyway on presenting all my lovely paperwork ,after usual perusal i was nicely informed that i can get a multi non 'o'

    1,is this possible

2,would this be financially benificialnoting my status above.

and 3 .how much time would each renewal,i mean new visanot 90 day report ,give me.

    again my thanks in advance.

  8. thanks Ubonjoe but i did sat i was getting 90 single entry at Savanakhet have been doing so for three years now .also i rightly or wrongly beleived i was able as a uk state pensioner to get a non 'o' without showing funds,

i am trying to advoid the long round trip from Wang Choa to Savanakhet,, thought Mae Sot would do the job

  9. yes i know its been dealt with before, but not as far as i know for single entry non 'o' ... so my problem is this,, i will soon relocate from Ubon to Wang Choa Tak province .i currently do 90 day border hops to Savanakhet,, what are my alternatives. for example is there a bus service from Mae sot to a consulate in Mayamar.

i am uk state pensioner without any assetts .All forthcoming comments by you lovely people will be perused then deleted,, ha ha ha.

i think Ubonjoe may have some answers for me if so i would be grateful so thank you in advance.
