True like many other Companies appear to try to charge prices beyond what many will or are able to pay....... To me anyway is common scene if True charged 1,000 baht per month then they would get double the customers..... if they charged 500 baht per month they would get 4x expect well over that customers......
So TRUE @ 500 baht per month for Plat True,,,,, would the so say pirates even bother ? would costumers even bother to look for non True ?
The so say pirates are trying to help the masses that cannot afford over 2,000 baht per month....
This is not just for TV but a wide range of goods, and of course not just in Thailand.
Are you living in the real world whoever you are? Perhaps shops should give their products away free then people wouldnt shoplift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is very close to what the new True/PSI systems does, so hang on before you kill the messenger i.e. ignis - all of a sudden True now have access to over 9,000,000 users from PSI.

Yes..... because that's how you stop card sharing.
For card sharing yes, but not for a set top box at home with the original subscription card , as many have already explained here in detail, they work just fine.

You simply can not beat a good tablet (android) and any phone/mobile router that shares data connectivity ie. mobile wifi hot spot all three for well under THB 10,000 combined.
I use a Dlink 3G mobile router (3,200) and android tab (7" 4,200) and also a HUGE LETTERED phone (1,800) as I an old fart and blind all under THB 10,000 and the family use the mobile wifi hot spot in the car as we drive around - why go the sad way of apple?

Oh interesting, but what the hell is it doing in Thailand?? I guess I'll snip off the plug and attach my own proper 3-prong plug.
Thanks.
Welcome to Thailand where power plugs from most countries can be found (in a single house). But be thankful there is an earth.
Next question; which way is OFF on your power switches, UP or DOWN or both if wired to a multi switch?

I have been searching, and all they say is a general area like "chinatown" or "Burpha Road"
Yes right next the Old Siam Shopping Center in Yamarat (the other side of Baan Moor the electronics area)

BBC World radio is on any number of satellites across Thailand as is a replacement for DMX like these radio channels on just one of the satellites over us here in Thailand....................
BBC Radio via satellite radio;
Intelsat 7/10
Apstar 7 (right beside Thaicom)
Telstar 18
and many other satellites besides
So how do I access this if I live in a huge condo that only offers True?
Buy this package http://jsat.tv/shop/...t&product_id=88 and be sure to tell them it is for BBC Radio (different package from what is listed) and install the dish on the roof of the condo like normal. It is cheaper than most good short wave receivers and always there day or night.

get your mobile phone or digital camera and press the remote control keys at it. if it is working you will see the infared light on the camera, if it is dead there will be no lights when you press the remote keys.
-
ask your provider/installer why as they will be the only people who know why this has happened to you, as there are hundreds out there (providers and installers that is) so what effects you may not be the same for others.

. What does one call a channel such as ESPN or Star Sports that is broadcast with no commentary in any language with ONLY the sound of event being shown? I would like to avoid such channels when deciding a satellite system purchase. Appreciate if you have any experience on this type of TV channel?
Currently my rented accommodation is showing such channels?
This is not the thread for this sort of SMATV support (you should start a new thread for it), but the issue would appear to be the audio set up of the set top. smply have someone reselect the correct audio channel albeit most likely not in English by the sounds of it and it will be on your distribution network.

Jsat, do you know of any websites that do the same thing?
Sorry do hot know any of the same sort based in Thailand for commercial radio traffic, but there are plenty of ham based sites which include Thailand. If you are looking for a scanner these links may (or may not) help albeit in Thai (google translate is your friend)
100 Watt Magazine (in most bookshops nation wide) http://www.100watts.com/
These are great guys to deal with and can point you in most directions - http://www.tenmetershop.com/ also based in Baan Moore / Old Siam.
