Last week my wife met with a senior consultant from one of the Bangkok hospitals on a non-medical business matter. I thought that her not being vaxxed might be a problem and sure enough that was one of the first questions he asked. But no, he was not vaxxed either and he warned her in the strongest possible terms not to get vaxxed.

Just to be clear, the ‘common cold’ is not a distinct virus in its own right, it’s a set of symptoms, cough, sneezing, runny nose, we’ve all been there. It’s caused by any one of several upper respiratory tract viruses, one such being the corona viruses. There are others too. Therefore Covid19, The ‘Rona, Delta, Moronicon……they are by definition just variations of a common cold virus.

Thailand’s English proficiency plummets: Survey

Credit where it’s due, at least they beat Kyrgyzstan. I find myself getting angry now when I meet schoolteachers who can’t string two words of English together. They each have a responsibility to their students and they are failing at it. English is the crucial skill to be able to access most of the information available on the internet. -
Thais just don’t seem to be capable of running things like apps and websites. I think it comes down to the language problem. I was trying to register on a shopping website the other day, just couldn’t get through it. I sent messages to their email and Messenger - nothing. Silence.

“Thailand is hoping to tap into the 600 million strong younger generation, which also includes families and Indians wanting to get married overseas”. . For a shocking moment I thought they were trying to attract Indian husbands, but then I realised they meant Indians marrying other Indians before going home to India. -

From a country with stupid 90 day reporting, dual pricing, where nobody speaks English and you can’t own the house that you live in. -
Vaccines not lockdowns helping to reduce COVID-19 cases in Thailand
Stoker58 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
UK heading for vax no.3 and Israel already onto vax no.4. I sincerely hope Thailand does not fall into a cycle of endless vaccines to the benefit of big pharma companies. -
Breakthrough COVID-19 Infection in Thailand: What to Know
Stoker58 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
100% true. It’s good to see that people are waking up to the deadly nature of these drugs. Far too many just stampeded off to the local hospital to take part in a Phase 3 trial of an unlicensed drug. -
Breakthrough COVID-19 Infection in Thailand: What to Know

“While the unvaccinated are by far the most at risk of contracting and transmitting it…..”. That’s simply not true. Numbers from Israel, the US and Europe show typically 70-80% of those in hospital are vaxxed. Deaths and illnesses following the mRNA therapies are off the scale. -

Thais and apps. Given their record with immigration apps, can you imagine them trying to run this?
