  1. While Trudeau's father Pierre was PM he was asked what it was like to sleep alongside an elephant.

His witty reply was that 'You move very carefully."

The young Trudeau has however demonstrated he still has some lessons to learn. That for instance sleeping alongside a dragon will get you burned. Possibly singed.

SecDef Ashton Carter is the residence advisor that hasn't any time or patience toward know it all glamour boy interns.

    I know carter...a yankee doodle dandy....right?

  2. Man your way off..Canada has never lost a war. Look at invasion in the 2nd world war. Bravest men ever on the beaches of Normandy

The Dutch till this day put signs to say they will never forget what Canada has done for them in the freeing them from the German occupation . Head in the sand...don't think so!

Your response is clever and accurate......our american friend whom you are replying to is still of that bush mentality where if you're not with us you're against US (that really worked out well didn't it)

  3. Where are you located??

I may have a second hand Acer, going cheap, for sale with pre loaded windows 7 now upgraded online to windows 10.

It has a good quality carry bag too and Norton 360 for 1.5 years remaining ( I paid for three computers for 2 years up front ) plus windows office.

Send a message if you wish.

I never use it as I find at home I like my desktop and outside I use my i pad or Samsung phone. Plus, I used to get cheesed of unpacking it at airports for the scanners.

I'm in Lopburi...occasionally come to BKK. I need one for email, facebook, youtube and surfing (basic)......How much?

  4. I'm also a Canadian, and my girlfriend was (twice) granted a tourist visa despite not having a job, property, parents, or money in the bank based on the length of our relationship and the fact that I have a good job here with established work history -- as others have observed, they want evidence that she's got more of a reason to come back than to stay. In our case since I support her and had a letter from work mentioning explicitly that I would be have to be back on such-and-such a date to continue work (along with copy of my work permit non-imm. b visa & etc.) that seemed to be enough. I wouldn't hide the relationship as long as it's got some history to it (we submitted copies of photos over the course of several years as evidence of this).

TLDR; we got one with less, I think your chances are good.

Your situation sounds the most like mine....Glad you were successful. One question did you have to buy a return flight ticket for her prior to visa application...and then show copy of ticket? If so then what happens with the flight ticket if she does not get tourist visa?

  5. Rice farmers..........My Thai girlfriend was contracted by NIDA University to complete a FOUR MONTH long survey travelling to rural communities and interviewing rice farmers in rural areas gathering information on how they really feel about how they are being treated. She was promised 80,000 baht for this FOUR MONTH long job. She had to use her own money to live on during this period. When the project was completed and all hard copy reports were submitted to NIDA...."She did not receive payment". She made repeated calls to get this PROMISED amount since she was in debt and paying interest on that debt. This survey was completed over one year ago now and still no sign of payment after repeated calls. I guess the parties involved requesting the survey didn't like the results ?????? NIDA you should be ASHAMED of your actions
