We used to use this method on the farm, it was quite effective and cheap...
You buy 2 'long necks', drink them, get a pair of old socks and stretch each sock over the bottom half of the bottle. Stuff a wad of bread in the opening, balance the bottom of bottle on a bench/ coffee table etc... put a bucket (half full) of water under the bread end and they simply slip off the glass into the bucket and well, 'back stroke is not their forte ... We really did find it effective, easy clean up and always enjoyed the beer,, if set right, you can leave the bottle in place all night... I guess you may need adjust the sock for the size of your prey...
