  1. I asked my home country customs if I bring a bicycle into Canada for a month or two while I visit, but not leaving it there, will I have to pay import fees. The answer was yes. So, even though I'm just in and out of the country to visit family, I have to pay 25% on a bike that I bought elsewhere. I am Canadian, so I guess they assume I want to leave the bike in Canada. I'm curious though, if I buy a bike outside of Thailand and bring it with my on a long-term visa, such as the new 5 year digital nomad visa, will I have to pay import fees or would it be considered sports luggage like a surfboard would be? What about other surrounding countries, like Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos etc if I want to travel around a few weeks here and there and bring the bike with me?
  2. Thanks all. I found a little shack along the beach in Jomtien open until 9pm and booked through him. Russian fellow. Honestly, was teh best border run in a van I have done to date. He just books for whoever owns the company that actually owns the vans. Price was 2800 if I remember correctly. Previously I was using a decent service that charged 3700. Better quality stops on the way back, same stop in the way to. Pickup from hotel... although I don't like that because if you're in teh first to be picked up you gotta drive all around Pattaya picking up the others. I wouldn't trust bolt at that hour of the morning, my fears would be that they haven't gone to bed yet. Something interesting... no one was getting the new 60 day stamps. All 30 day stamps.
  3. The agent I normally go through does not have enough people for the run and cancelled. Any suggestions? Need to go June 3rd. Looking for a decent van with 'vip/luxury' seats.
  4. About 450K. I got scammed exchanging Thai baht to USD with a tuk tuk driver when I arrived. Fake USD. Good times. Want to buy my $450K? I'm in Pattaya till end of month.
  5. Just got back from a few weeks in Cambodia and brought my excess Cambodian money with me to Thailand, thinking I could exchange it. Went to the one of those yellow exchange booths and was told they don't accept it. Anyone know where I can?
  6. Did some Googling about getting a business visa and the requirements that go with it and this came up: https://unionspace.co.th/Complete-Package-for-Foreigners.php Wondering if anyone has had an experience with them or if anyone has any comments in general about these types of services.
