  1. If spoken in Thai, the sentence would be close to "take care me." Do-leh chan. ดูแลฉัน
  2. Where? Seriously? A decent house in the suburbs of Bangkok or Pattaya is at least 20k baht, no?
  3. I'd take it a step farther. Relaxation is a vital part of healing. Stress itself can cause or exacerbate illnesses. A medication that promotes relaxation without addiction is a treasure.
  4. She offered me a kind of relaxing, healing massage as part of her care. Sounds good. The focus would be on healing and regaining mobility, but I wouldn't be shocked or horrified if the therapeutic face and body massage went terribly awry!
  5. Those quotes are not me. I didn't tell anyone they're not right. I appreciate all advice given here and it's given me some useful information.
  6. Apparently, I can get a full-time nurse for 20k. And, that would bypass the security issue. I'll reflect on all this. I also wouldn't mind companionship during my recovery. I won't be "DTF" for a while after surgery. Massage would be nice though. Thanks for this lead.
  7. She knows the URL of my ecommerce website (an asset). Was this a big mistake? I guess I should conceal Thai bank books. Other statements are online only. It's been helpful to think through these issues.
  8. I've been looking for it. Do you happen to have a link?
  9. Thanks for responses. I haven't thought much about the security angle. I have credit cards, ATM cards, bank books, passport, utility bills, birth certificate, and a wallet with cash. Computers are encrypted and passwords aren't written down, but could conceivably be stolen. Installing a safe is the best way to protect myself? I'd need to ask landlord, I guess. Thoughts on security? I'm not fishing for a relationship with this woman. But sure, the company might be nice. Money was brought up very quickly, and she had been a beer bar "owner but not worker" in the past. I understand the LOS love-game rules.
  10. To be clear, this is for her to live with me full time for a month, right? Seems pretty reasonable to me. If she must work out of town on weekends, does it lower the monthly cost? Thanks for your input.
  11. That's what she asked me. If I determine I need it for recovery, I can afford to pay whatever it takes. I read that a nurse is perhaps 50,000 baht a month. I don't need that or medical services per se. I need all-around shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry, massage, and whatever comes up. My mobility will be effected. My goal is to pay fairly and not exorbitantly.
  12. Hi. I have a question that perhaps Pattaya experts might be able to help me with. I'm experiencing some health issues. I found a woman on a Thai dating website who offered to take care of me, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, massage, and perhaps additional services when requested, thought that wasn't discussed yet. I'll be going in for major surgery later this year, so having a "lady take care" is probably a good idea. She works part time at a bakery and part time interning at a plastic surgery clinic. So, she's not a ladybar (at least not now). What kind of rates would be reasonable to pay her to "take care me" for a day (to look for rental housing for example), a week (to assist with recovery), or a month (to assist with long recovery)? My question is about how much to pay her without getting ripped off. She's reasonably pretty, 37, has a kid, and is not a hottie. Lives with her mother and is trying to get by, basically. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Also, is there anywhere else I could look for an arrangement like this? Not a maid, nurse , or ladybar per se -- but an all around very-personal assistant. Maybe I should change my online dating profile to specifically ask for this. Thanks!
  13. In you opinion, nothing will change and this is just sound and fury with no action? I'm good with that. Hope you're correct. It's strange to see so many alcoholics in this forum railing against cannabis. Free the weed!
  14. Your post seems sensible. Two questions: 1) How do you see this playing out in terms of access to people who use cannabis medically (and recreationally) like myself. 2) I'm concerned about what I read here about banning flowers. I can't take edibles or extracts due to gastritis. Do you think flowers will still be available for medical use? Thanks.
  15. The consequences of a cannabis overdose are: sleepy, horny, hungry. The consequences of the others you name are death. Withdrawal from alcohol can actually kill you. Ban alcohol. Hell, ban coffee, unless you agree that adults should have the ability to exercise some autonomy over their own bodies and minds.
  16. Fast forward 6 months from now: "I have back pain. Take my word for it. Here is my 10,000 baht medical fee, payable every three months."
  17. And it is more delicious (adds Umami flavor).
  18. Why are Thai cops able to arrest him without putting 11 holes in him first, but the US isn't?
  19. Are you sure it's illegal for a cop to demand my urine sample if I'm sitting in a bar? Is it legal to film the cops while you talk to them here? I'm thinking it would end poorly if I ever tried that. What's worked for me so far is total submission.
  20. Purple urine? Are they snorting unicorn glue?
  21. Hi. Could you share some more information about this please? When I Google it, I get unrelated results. Thanks!
  22. It happened to my friend in Vietnam during the Covid lockdown. They sealed him into his house and provided no food, according to him. He finally got back to Germany where he was diagnosed with leukemia. Then he suffered a stroke. He didn't make it. Wonderful, kind, happy guy. Life screwed him over. I don't know about his insurance in Vietnam, but they were welding doors closed, according to him.
