My wife has the MG5 turbo. Before we bought it, I took one around the MG "test track" on Srinakarin road. No matter what, I couldn't make it slide, hardly any lean through the cones and the hairpin, and just ate up the broken tarmac and concrete lumps sections. And it accelerates like a Cooper-S. She's now had it for 5 years, and a couple of minor warranty fixes. About 3 or 4 pinhead bubbles on the paintwork. And all for 750,000 baht. Absolutely no comparison to our Honda City, which we had for 13 years. It's got more performance than she can use. Now she realises the Honda was a bit of a laggard!
