Yes I agree the only real pain is the queue system but if Thai’s can do it on line , the queues should be shorter for foreigners if that is their only option.

Better illegal immigrants that contribute than sour faced pensioners that want to live abroad and slate the UK every day.
Plenty of them. Just come home.
If they all came home it would cost the government a lot more. Many would now not be able to buy a home so would need housing. 490k extra on the NHS to take care of besides the increase in pension. Then if you include all the other benefits they would be entitled to as most would now probably be under the living wage. It would be cheaper to just pay the increased pension due.

An unidentified foreign man allegedly sexually assaulted a three year old Thai girl at her home in the Rawai district of Phuket in the early hours of Monday, September 23. The young victim suffered severe injuries to her private parts.
A Thai man who lived near the victim’s home shared the story of the three year old victim with the Phuket Times, today, September 25. He revealed that the sexual assault occurred in the early hours of Monday, and he encountered the injured girl yesterday at around 7am.
The man explained that he heard the girl crying and went to check on her. He found the girl lying outside her home and later noticed blood flowing from her vagina. Her face was pale, and she could barely speak. The girl told him that the foreign man hurt her.
According to the man, the girl’s aunt was unaware of the girl’s injuries even though she was sitting nearby because she was intoxicated.
The man and other locals in the area took the girl to Vachira Phuket Hospital. The medical team have not yet confirmed the sexual assault or provided an update on her condition.
This man revealed that he saw the suspicious foreigner, aged approximately 38 to 39 years old, coming to the girl’s house at about 2am on Monday but he could not identify his nationality.
This foreign man visited the girl’s aunt many times before to party together. The foreign man, the girl’s aunt, and two other people were seen partying together on Sunday night before the incident was revealed.
Locals in the area revealed to the media that the girl had to live with her aunt because her parents were imprisoned. Her mother was arrested for drug possession, while her father was arrested for theft. The girl’s aunt did not care for her alone, as many people in the area felt sorry for her and often gave her food and snacks.
Phuket Times reported that police officers and relevant local government officials today took the girl’s aunt to the police station for questioning but officers had not yet released any details to the public.

The post said he was seen at 2am partying with the Aunt and 2 others. Who were the others and were they male or female. The girl wasn't found in this state until 7am and the neighbour did not witness the event , so I think there is still a lot of investigating to be done yet. Sound to me whether he did it or one of the others did all 4 should possibly be held accountable to some degree.

If he was driving drunk he deserves everything he got and more. But the money should go to the city not the individual police officers.

Why is this such a big deal. It only seems to offend when it's a Foreigner. I see the Thai chaps who work on the beach looking after the jetskis and speed boats doing this not a word said about it. When motorbike taxi riders hop off there bike and urinate along the side of the road nothing but it's fire and brimstone if it's a tourist. Locals need to set a good example first.

A video of a Thai woman lying on a baggage conveyor belt at Krabi Airport has gone viral, drawing heavy criticism on social media.
The incident, which occurred yesterday, September 16, was shared by the account @RedSkullxxx with the caption, “Can you lie down like this? I saw it on Instagram, it seems to be a Thai at Krabi Airport.”
The clip shows a woman in a white long-sleeved shirt, shorts, and a hat, lying comfortably on the conveyor belt. She appears to be enjoying herself, resting her chin on her hands and swaying her head back and forth. The video, posted on the former social media platform Twitter, now X, has sparked a significant backlash from netizens.
“Are we allowed to do this in an airport?” one user commented, highlighting the clear signage around the baggage area prohibiting sitting on the conveyor belt. Many echoed this sentiment, calling for stricter enforcement of airport regulations.
“Content like this should be punished by law,” another user remarked, criticising the woman for creating disruptive content. The sentiment was widely shared, with many calling for police intervention and fines for such behaviour.
The criticism extended to questioning the safety and appropriateness of such actions in a public space, with comments describing it as ignorant and inconsiderate.
One user pointed out, “It’s like lying in the middle of the road. It’s common sense that it’s dangerous and inappropriate.”
There were also concerns about the potential dangers involved, such as the possibility of getting injured by the machinery.
“Where is the safety awareness? This is trashy content,” a comment read, expressing shock at the lack of safety considerations.
The incident has prompted calls for the relevant authorities to investigate and take appropriate action, reported KhaoSod.

So what were the airport staff and security doing to stop her nothing.

Thailand's newly appointed Tourism Minister, Sorawong Thienthong, is set to revive the previously shelved 300-baht tourism tax, aiming to enhance tourism revenue to at least 3 trillion baht this year.
"I believe the collection of the tourism fee benefits the tourism industry, as the revenue can be used for infrastructure development and ensuring tourist safety," remarked Thienthong, who took office recently.
The tourism tax proposal, initially approved by the cabinet in 2022, mandates that foreign arrivals by air will pay 300 baht, while those entering by sea and land will be charged 150 baht. However, the scheme has yet to be endorsed via publication in the Royal Gazette.
Thienthong stated that the ministry needs more time to assess the system's readiness before deciding on implementing the tax within this year's final quarter.
The minister emphasised that the collection procedure would be finalised in a manner that does not discourage tourists. He is also keen to continue the "Ignite Tourism Thailand" initiatives introduced by Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, which include developing entertainment complexes, aviation hubs, and second-tier cities.
"We will encourage the private sector to invest more by offering incentives, such as tax breaks," Thienthong added, referring to plans for new man-made attractions and promoting second-tier cities.
Tourism stimulus programmes, similar to the successful We Travel Together co-payment scheme for hotel rooms and air tickets during the pandemic, may also return to ensure income distribution to locals.
The upcoming high season events, like marathons, Loy Krathong, and the New Year countdown, are anticipated to boost revenue to the target of 3 trillion baht from both domestic and international markets.
The minister remains committed to the long-term goal of achieving 3 trillion baht from foreign markets alone within the government’s four-year term. Additionally, he supports the idea of hosting a Formula One motor racing event in Thailand, suggesting a street circuit on Ratchadamnoen Road to reflect the country's unique character.
Thienthong also addressed concerns about price-dumping tours, stating that while the number of illegal companies might not have increased, the economic losses are potentially greater.
He has ordered authorities to curb such activities. To discuss tourism policies further, Thienthong will meet with 20 private tourism operators, including the Association of Thai Travel Agents and the Tourism Council of Thailand, soon, reported Bangkok Post.

If thought the last time this was discussed it was said the money would be used to cover medical expenses if any foreigner got ill or injured and his insurance wouldn't cover it. But was not meant to replace travel / medical insurance which all visitors should have.

A Pakistani tailor was left devastated after being robbed during his first visit to Pattaya, within hours of his arrival.
On September 16th, Mr. Farrukh U, a 33-year-old Pakistani national, filed a complaint with Police Lieutenant Colonel Chonwit Athiphansee of Pattaya City Police Station after thieves tricked him and stole $900 USD (approximately 30,000 THB) from his wallet.
The incident occurred at Jomtien Beach, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi.
Mr. Farrukh revealed that this was his first time visiting Pattaya, and just a few hours after his arrival, two men, resembling South Asians, approached him while he was strolling along Jomtien Beach.
They struck up a conversation and pretended to be friendly, asking to see his country’s currency notes. While one of them distracted him with small talk, the other secretly emptied his wallet.
After handing the wallet back, the men quickly fled. Sensing something was wrong, Mr. Uzair checked his wallet and discovered that all his money had been stolen. He promptly reported the incident to the police.
In response, Police Lieutenant Colonel Chonwit Athiphansee coordinated with the local investigation team and tourist police to gather evidence from witnesses and security cameras in the area in hopes of tracking down the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.

If that's what is written on the police report good luck claiming on any travel insurance if he has any. The insurance company would laugh at him for handing his wallet to a total stranger.

Visibly intoxicated is usually a term used for one being drunk. Noticing a person high on weed isn't that easy until they talk. Might have been stoned but also drunk. Those that never used weed have little idea what it does or how a person acts unless they are around them often. Weed doesn't make a person crash into lampposts.
People that are drunk or high never have any idea about how they act unless someone tells them after the fact.

I lived here for a long time without air conditioning, but during the last heatwave, I decided to buy one at GlobalHouse. Some guys came over the next day to install it.
Since day one, it’s been dripping water, and every morning there's a big puddle underneath. As it’s installed directly under our patio door, it’s become a problem.
Is this something normal, like condensation, and nothing can be done about it? Or is it something I should complain about that can be fixed?
Just need to blow through the drain line. I do mine energy few months.

Yes, that does not show any contact at all, visually, so accusations of deliberate, or accidental, contact would just be conjecture.
I agree you can't see any contact and if she was kicked / assaulted she showed no signs of it when they got up and moved. If she had been kicked I would have expected to see some sort of reaction like grabbing her back in pain or at least turning or jumping at the time or the assault but no they just got up and walked away in the video.

Has anybody any recommendations for the treatment of varicose veins in Pattaya and how much?
I have just developed them and they are painful when I run, so that I have to stop. I am not concerned about how they look, only the pain aspect.
Thanks.
My mum had hers done about 10 years ago recommended by a doctor at BPH but price was crazy. We took her to the Khon Kaen University Hospital to get it done, both legs. I can't remember the price but it was very reasonable a fraction of the Pattaya prices. The only thing is you have to except all the students in the room lol

The good water management of Thailand.. It is because of China, we couldn't do anything about ...But for years nothing really nothing is done to solve yearly flooding in this country.. No cleaning waterways, no dam level management, but only sell land to built houses, businesses and no further infrastructure whatso ever
The water has to go somewhere. If they cleaned the waterways out and improved the condition of the rivers more water would flow south via the Chao Phraya basin ending up in Bangkok causing more flooding there. You just can't win. Nature rules.

I have had several over the years and the best seem to be DDPai models they use capacitors which seem to handle the heat better than L-ion batteries. The heat seems to be the big killer the heat behind a windscreen is rather extreme.

The insurance allows what ever drivers you tell them will be using, You, wife, and even anyone (not need to list), unless you know nobody ever will drive it, which may lower the premium a bit.
I always had the 'anyone' can drive, in case some would be driving when having an oops, and not be listed on the policy.
If you know just you & wife will only be the drivers, simply tell them that, and you may save a few baht.
Use to be me, wife, daughter had access to the cars, and if daughter had, and was out, and a friend, say , went to 7-11 because daughter too lazy, and had an oops, it would be covered.
My car is in the wife's name and insured for any driver but I am specifically named on the policy.
