  1. I am in the same position extension due mid October but passport expires the following Aug so I guess I will only get 10 months. But as a UK citizen I believe now if you apply for a new passport it is dated from issue not when the old one expires any more. Therefore I either lose 2 months on my extension or nearly a year on my passport. Extensions are less hassel to get than passports so I will accept only getting 10 months this year.

  2. I would say nothing to worry about some of the photos the crack looks near where the concrete posts attach to the block wall very common. The third image is this outside. It looks like the wall has got damp and some of the rendering has broken away and been badly patched . Does this area get wet. The crack again by the window frame is where the block wall meets the concrete lintel. These are all very common. The brick / block work is only tied to the concrete posts and lintels with bits of rebar sometimes even large nails placed into holes drilled in the concrete. It is not easy to fill these small cracks you may need to chip away a bit more around the cracks and then fill / render.

Understand you Mr. O. From their broken English I'm sure I heard them say, "Knock Down". Maybe better to just start again. Here is the concrete floor next to the carport where I would like waist high decking with a plunge poolUNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_3cc7.jpg.26f3523ecb00870fd1286eea8f435e66.jpg

Is it just a concrete slab or is it properly reinforced with rebar.

  4. There should not be a problem with insurance being valid with an out of date licence as it is still valid until after the emengency decree. The validity of the licence is determined by the Government not the insurance companies. The problem will be the amount of leeway you get when the offices open and the decree ends as there will be literally thousands of people with expired licences. Even before the lockdown renewing a licence for Thai's meant queueing very early at some places and still being sent away and told to return and queue again the next day. they just can not process them all in  a couple of days. It could take weeks as every day more expire. I hope they dispence with some of the requirements like watching the same video everytime you go.

  5. I don't see why you should be penalized for living overseas in retirement. If you payed your NI contributions you should be treated the same. At the end of the day they are already saving the gov money by living overseas. They are not claiming for other things such at winter payments. Then the big one they are not a burden on the NHS and care systems this alone must save the gov millions but they still penalize them. They say it is due to them not being subject to UK inflation and cost of living. Do they not realize inflation happens everywhere and the cost of living in some countries is higher than it is in the UK. pensioners are not asking for more just to be treated the same.
