I bring....a laptop, iPad, 2 iPhones, galaxy tablet, battery’s and cords, and a couple watches. About half the time I get a secondary screening at the Thai airport after the bag goes through X-ray. ????

Could be the formula for cold fusion......

I’ve had several packages disappear (maybe 15-20%) never gotten one oppened. I’ve used USPS and DHL......only taxed 1 time in last 20 years (1-3 times a year) Granted I’ve never sent anything valuable.

Not my specialty but a colonoscopy if you are over 50 years old isn’t a bad thing...and have them check the hemorrhoid at the same time.....

This is one of many reasons I don’t rent my condo out....?

It’s a game that has gotten old over the years.....
At the airport they complain of long waits to get into Queue then have short fairs to nearby hotels. I ask politely that they use the meter and that I’m going to my home or to see my wife....just something so they know I’m not a tourist. That seems to work well.
When im out and about I try to pick up a taxi somewhere that’s not too busy. If I have to walk a block or two where there’s less demand, I’ve had better luck.
Uber was nice while it lasted...meanwhile I have a perfectly good car that sits in the car park, and I hardly ever drive the damn thing because most places I go it’s hard to find parking! ?

It’s not my specialty but if your immune system is weak and your taking an antibiotic like flagyl, I would worry about secondary infections like c-diff and the such. It can be a downward spiral if you’re not careful about your diet or you are not properly diagnosed. There is a lot of information you can google as I’m sure you probably have. I would look for some sort of GI specialist to make sure you are being properly treated. Good luck!

Too many ladyboys there for my taste....didn’t used to be that many in the late 90’s or early 2000’s. I don’t normally mind them but they have gotten very aggressive....

I tip 100-400 based on how far, and the service. Lately a lot of the taxis at suvarnabhumi have been complaining (I know, when do they not complain) that traffic and their que to get back in the pick up area are too long, so they don’t make the money they used to....so they want to charge flat rate which is higher. If they insist on flat rate I give less tip. If they use the meter and service / attitude is good I give more. Every once in a while you get someone who is so nice, pleasant, smiles.....doesn’t try to play you...they get more.

It’s been years since I’ve worked in ER here in the USA, but it would be a $50,000 fine to refuse treatment.
There are ear issues that are certainly ER worthy, and I don’t know what the guy In the story had going on....but I’m surprised they didn’t see him and overcharge for the convenience. Hospitals in Thailand are all about getting paid (making money).

I am a size FFFF....for fat fat fat farang? also known as a 3xl. I found a place on beach rd between the LK Empress hotel and Starbucks. I was really happy to find them until I realized 3xl in Thailand was probably an xl at best when I tried it on?
When you ask any of the vendors they all say they have what you want but don’t.
There are a lot of big guys wandering around down here in pattaya...I would think someone could make good money if they actually had bigger sizes. Good luck?

What’s next? Jenga? ?

I travel a LOT every year....probably several hundred thousand miles and have had hands, feet, and just about every other kind of body part all over the back of my seat. Most of us already don’t enjoy the flight these days with smaller seats and packed plans (or trains). More and more often people think it’s their right to invade others space.
People need to keep there damn feet on the ground....

Your memory must be worse than mine.
Royal Garden mall was there in the 90s, and Mike Shopping mall carpark was full of tour buses bringing Asian tourists to go shopping. Loads of tour buses grinding up Beach Road every day.
Big C shopping Mall in North Pattaya.
Plenty of Lady boys around then too. They even had their own bar on walking Street by the Marine escalators.
However, it was safer.
I stand corrected....you are right...my memory is probably worse than yours. Too many trips in the last 30 years (50+) I’m loosing my mind?
However the ladyboy thing has gotten much worse...for sure.

Pattaya 20 years ago was much more laid back, way quieter for sure. There were no malls, no Chinese or korean tour busses, and a lot less lady boys; and it seemed safer.
These days it is what it is......for me it’s a love hate relationship❤️?

I agree that it’s about protecting the tobacco industry...many people quit regular cigarettes using e-cigs as a step down.

If you have a US bank or brokerage account you might be able to deposit the check over the Internet by scanning it.
Yes...I do this with an app on my phone. Then just transfer as needed.

She has the power once you and the children are in Thailand...what if she tried to take the children out of spite or to blackmail you into giving her money?

Doesn’t anybody believe in karma these days? I’m glad they got caught...

I only get cash from ATM machines in the mall...at the banks. Haven’t had any problems in years, but it does take planing if you’re not near Beach Road. (my condo is near)

Reviews these days for anything have to be carefully read...and certain people should have their ability to review permanently revoked....when people leave negative reviews because they had to wait a few extra minutes it ruins the purpose.
Even on Amazon and eBay you can have an awesome product but people will leave negative reviews because it arrived a day late or the color looked different in a picture....
