Just checked out the chili radio website.
Was expecting to hear something like Dark Side of the Moon…or maybe some cool bootleg Grateful Dead shows. Hendrix?
Nope
Or maybe it would have been something funky like G Love and Special Sauce or Wax Tailor?
Nope
Was it something even more “out there”….Primus perhaps?
Nope
Rap? Maybe Dr Dre The Chronic or Cyprus Hill Hits from the Bong?
Nope

I think it tends to be a rather Asian phenomenon. I know in Japan many people would mask-up for half the year pre-Covid. Post-Covid and it's all year.
If you check out street-level web cams in places like Japan and China, there is still a fairly large percentage of people wearing masks as they do in Thailand.
Example: Tokyo live
https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/japan/kanto/tokyo/shinjuku-street.htmlI’m not seeing masked Japanese. Very very few.
here is a much better live video where you can actually see the people.

I didn't feel this way before but now I think LGBTQ people should boycott Malaysia and sincere allies should as well.
Because of a watch?
But you enjoyed your previous trips and were perfectly willing to visit Malaysia when you already knew of their abysmal record when it comes to gay rights?

Mold is toxic. I’d move. It’s not just on the outside of things. If leaving for extended periods, I recommend hiring a house sitter (condo maid) to cycle the air conditioner daily so that it stays dry.

On the rare occasion when I do buy and cook a good steak, I go for the best Aussie tenderloin, but as I said, in the main I go to a restaurant to have a good Aussie tenderloin steak and also take along a nice bottle of red wine to complement it.
Slow cooked traditional dishes are best with cheap beef, but, the one in the pic, I wouldn't touch it.
Everyone to their own I suppose.
I like Aussie Tenderloin. Not sure what you consider the best Aussie tenderloin. I have 4kg of Portoro MB4+ 250 day grain fed angus tenderloins in the freezer. Not bad for ฿1600/kg but it doesn’t hold a candle to that striploin. Not even close.
Let me know where I can score some of the best Aussie tenderloin. I’d love to try it.
This looks good…

Jeez........that must be over 30% fat and then some with the marbling!! Not my kind of steak!!
It’s a good thing you can be happy with cheap beef.

Actually I do care, these are similar issues which all need addressing, not adding to; which was the point of my post.

The tycoons are safe, the growers are safe, all registered businesses are safe
the unlicensed street sellers are not..
which is how it should be.
How should it be for people who sell booze illegally?
Oh….you don’t care….because they will happily break the law with a smile for you.
What about the inhalant issue and the dangers of children/teens sniffing glue?
I see that doesn’t bother you either.
Yup…..priorities.

According to their website its a private hospital and according to Wiki it caters for High income patients .with only 345 beds in total and 20 different medical departments there surely cannot be that many beds set aside for Covid cases.
According to the OP the emergency department are "awaiting referral patients" so how critical can their need be if they are on some sort of waiting list?
In my admittedly simplistic view, people genuinely requiring emergency treatment need it there and then, and would be taken elsewhere, presumably next door to the "Real" and much larger (6x) Siriraj hospital
The headline and some of the comments again seem designed to cause unnecessary concern why would that be?
Yeah…I was just looking at their website. It’s quite a nice hospital and very niche too. Definitely not representative of a typical hospital here in Thailand. The suites are huge! Nice selection of restaurants, herb gardens, Ayurvedic treatment facilities, a museum…it even has an Apple products distributor and some sort of “prototype” gourmet grocery store. Beautiful waterfront views too!
It’s a hospital for the (very) rich where the (assumably) high prices paid by the patients help to subsidize the government portion of Siriraj.
Interesting setup.
I’ll bet it’s very expensive and hopefully won’t be used as an example of what it might cost if someone ends up in the hospital with Covid.

No, it didn’t.
The report was made by a much smaller (1/6th the size) private offshoot of Siriraj, named SIRIRAJ Piyamaharajkarun Hospital

I knew that LA scene well. My wasted youth...
Unfortunately, I was a few years too young so there was no chance my parents would have ever let me go to a show. I had to hide my all my cassettes from my mom too. ????

If you like the IKEA styles and are interested in the next step up in quality (and price) I recommend KVIK. They also sell appliances (mid range) and I found that when going for the whole package deal through them (cabinets/countertops/appliances/etc) it was cheaper (and more efficient) than trying to source things elsewhere.
Got money to burn?

What does Thailand offer that will “propel it into a higher level nation”…and what does that even mean? Will Thailand become a technological tour de force? What are we up to now? Thailand 5.0?Will they conjure up an aerospace industry? Is Thairung the next big thing in autos?
Whatever the plans….how will it be paid for? More debt?
Will things get more expensive here in the long run? Possibly. How much and how fast? Who knows? Maybe we will see deflation as the credit bubble unwinds. Don’t know….but if either situation happened too fast, Thailand will have much bigger issues to deal with than a few expats who are renting a handful of the gazillion of empty condos.
Perhaps they’ll increase the 800k requirement to 1.2 million and potentially grandfather the old timers in….or not.
