As it founds likeyou would be flying in visa exempt be aware that airline may (probably will)  insist on seeing a return ur onwsrd  ticket not more than 30 days from arrival.

So you will need to fleither have a flexible return ticket (one you can change datss on after youenter) or bug a "throw awsy" onwsrd ticket. (Or, if anyway planning to visit a neighboring country buy ticket for that...)

This year I booked 120 days to Thailand  from UK on visa on arrival.I had a return flight booked to Cambodia on day 58.When I left UK I had no problem with airline not having return ticket within the 30 days of arrival.

    Have things changed now?

  2. Hi,

I have received conflicting information regarding the 30 days extension given after 45 days.Maybe Jack or Joe can answer my query?

I arrived for 4 mths trip on a visa exempt. After the 45 days and near the end of the 30 days extension I booked a 3 day out of Thailand. When I come back can I repeat the process of 45 days plus 30 days extension.I have been told you will not get the second 30 extension. Is this correct?TIA

  3. Hi all.

Previously I had a yearly extension based on retirement. This lapsed during covid and now I enter Thailand on a visa at arrival.

But I want to apply again for the Non Immigrant visa.

I have a few questions which hopefully Joe or Jack can help me with.

    (1)

What is the earliest date that I can apply for the Non Imm?.If I arrive Jan 25 can I go Chang Wattana the next day?

(2)Can I just turn at Chang Wattana or do I have to make an appoinment ?

(3)Do I need Insurance when applying for Non Imm or only when you are apply for extension for retirement?

(4)Are there any new documents that I need for Non Imm visa?

I have 800k in the bank for over 5 yrs.

I update my balance on the day I go there. Is there any other bank letters I need.

My bank Siam send me monthly statements. Is this sufficient or is there another ba.nk detail that I am missing?

Thanks in advance for any help

  4. Hi All,

For the previous 10 yrs I have had a visa based on renewal of extension for retirement but after covid I am just returning for 57 days.I got Visa on arrival and I will extend after 29 or 30 days.

My questions primarily to Joe or Dr Jack are

Do I just need the usual copies of Passport pages,Tm6 and filled out Tm7 plus 1900 baht?

Can I just show my lease agreement as I am still in the same property and have not been anywhere else since I arrived so I think I do not need a TM30 or do I?

Do I still go to the usual address in Chang Wattana or do I go to Laksi Mall? Are they near each other and does Laksi mall have photocopying facilities like Chang Wattana.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

  5. Previously I submitted my Tm30 by post and always got a receipt from Immigration.

Today I arrived back in Thailand and submitted my TM 30 online.I filled out all the info with exception of scanning passport photo and when I clicked send it said it was submitted succesfully. Why was I not automatically sent a receipt or will I have to go send it by post again?

Hopefully Joe or some savvy Tech guy can help me.

    many thanks

  6. Hi hope that Ubonjoe or one of the other wise chaps can help me with this simple question(s).

My extension to stay expires on the 18th Nov.How far in advance can I go to Chaeng Wattana to obtain my new one?eg15 days,7 days or do I have to go in on the 18th?

I presume it is the same documents needed as before

    TM7

    Passport face page

    Original visa stamp

Recent extension stamp& entry to Thailand

    Current airport departure card

    Home map

    Bank statement and letter

    1900 baht

And then TM8 for multi entry?

    Thanks in advance.

  7. Hi I have a query regarding the 800k required for non imm status.

I transferred 800k from overseas a few yrs ago to my Thai bank.I later opened a second Thai bank and transferred the 800k in here.

Ubonjoe told me that immigration require that the money come from overseas.

Can I get a letter from the second Thai bank to state that even though the 800 k came from another Thai bank, its original source came from overseas?

    Any assistance would be appreciated.Thanks.
