Mailed 90-Day Return Postage
Wake Up replied to DogNo1's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Why ?? You have a receipt with a tracking number. Don’t worry be happy. The Thais are not nazis like many people on this forum like to project. Jesus Christ it is simply a 2000 baht fine per year if you never do a 90 day report. I know many people expats that never do a 90 day report. Other than immigration has anyone in your lifetime ever asked you to see your 90 day report? Answer is no never. 90 day report is for drama queens -
Online 90 day. Report pending after 7 days
Wake Up replied to Wake Up's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I mailed in the paperwork today. I know it is not at least 15 days ahead of my report date so technically too late to mail. . But I mailed it anyway and they either accept it or I will not do a 90 report and pay the 2000 fine at the time of my extension of stay next year. thank you for all the replies. -
Spanish soccer president resigns after unwanted kiss
Wake Up replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Whatever happened to “I am sorry. Please forgive my actions” and the story ends. it was a kiss and wrong. But not worth ruining some one’s career and causing this much uproar IMO. -
Social Media “Outraged” Over Erotic Show in Pattaya
Wake Up replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
If you believe our USA government promotes human trafficking you are way off base and so is the propaganda you watch and listen to. Never though adults would be so vulnerable, naive and way off base to listen and believe this crap. -

Bought a Ford Everest Sport 2023. Love it. Bought a DVR Link from Ford front camera. Did not realize it will not show front of vehicle on my car monitor but will only show on my phone when Bluetooth is disconnected from my phone. problem is I like apple car play and like my phone connected Bluetooth to my car monitor. I am not a technical person. Is the front camera worthless if I keep Bluetooth connected to my car? Maybe I just learned a lesson or maybe someone can explain to me how to get both to work at same time. I am not smart with electrical language or products. Any help appreciated.

Went July 28. 400 baht for me. No payment for Thais in my car. They waived many cars ahead of me through with no payment.

Complaints procedure - immigration question
Wake Up replied to matta's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Most of the issues I have had in Thailand and immigration was miscommunication between me and the officer. Whenever I got upset I lost. Whenever I remained calm most of the time it worked out for me in the end. Complaining is like challenging their authority and they then refuse to do anything for you IMO. -
Over the counter stress/anxiety/sleeping meds?
Wake Up replied to cocoonclub's topic in Health and Medicine
That was horribly stressful for you. I am not a professional but I would need professional help if this happened to my family. Best wishes for you and hope you can find some peace. ???? -
Passports of Overstayers and Further Travel
Wake Up replied to hsoa's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
In fairness to the OP he is asking for help and experiences of those that have overstayed. He did not ask for conjecture or stern lecture. -
Requirements for a Retired expat to buy a vehicle
Wake Up replied to dingdongrb's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Buying a Ford in Bangkok. Need certificate of residence, passport showing extension of stay and transfer money to dealer for the car. Dealer handled all the paperwork except I got the certificate of residence at CW and I got my extension of stay at CW. -
The Thai company owns the land. Rather than sell the land to another foreigner and pay the tax on the sale. You simply change the foreigner buyer as the new company shareholder and the seller foreigner is removed as a shareholder. Therefore paying no tax on the sale. That is how Thailand is losing money and yes this is illegal even though many argue it is safe. But the Thailand law is every inch of Thailand land belongs to Thailand people only.

Wake Up replied to Dghart001's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I do not know. I do know Bangkok Bank near Sukhumvit Soi 10 has not provided me any problems since 2016. They speak English and never had a problem with them. -

Thai Bank Account for retirement...new rules?
Wake Up replied to Dghart001's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You could go back to your home country and get a one year O-A visa and then have two years ( see threads on how to get two years from a one year O-A visa) to put the money in a Thailand bank account. With an O-A visa and a certificate of residence you can open a bank account. -
Western man attacks Chinese man on road in Pattaya
Wake Up replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Beating a person who is on the ground apologizing and not fighting back should be a crime and the attacker should be banned from Thailand. -

Went back to CW today with copy of print out of TM 30 the owners executive assistant did last night on the immigration website. . Nicer person and extension approved. the guy yesterday was just yelling at everybody and did not want to do my extension. You can close this topic. Some immigration officers are nice but some only want to say no so you have to hire an agent IMO.
