Just checked out on Google,  ... I was not sure but it's called Laem Set Beach....  Just watch out for Laem set road on the ring road... between Hua Thanon and Thaling Ngam...

Go past the horse place and it's a dirt path that says "private" on the right side!

    Nice looking horse!

Used to be one of my special, romantic places to go, around the beginning of the 21st century :) .

The Laem Set Inn Resort And Spa used to be there.

  2. If on a budget(or even if not), these knock those ovens into a cocked hat. Cost a mere 1000 baht. The only issue is the size. You can get extender rings to increase the volume.

these work really well for roasting chicken with a crispy skin, but it cooks unevenly so have to rotate the chicken around, for small stuff its fine. I've baked fish and made countless other stuff with it too, clean up can be annoying though if you let it drip to the bottom.

I line mine with aluminium foil. As for the bigger stuff, as good idea to use the extender ring.

Allows larger items to cook more evenly. A great invention smile.png

Basically a hair drier in a bottle right?

You must be an American...as only they end a sentence thus. Right? Most annoying :)

Actually a very effective and efficient design. Try one before you comment.

  4. Joe public can't go around fixing roads in the UK either.

I am sure you would get a reaction from a local authority jobsworth in short order,

    if you were to try.

I think the UK can fix roads, the Thais cant as can clearly be seen ANYWHERE in Thailand

Road repairs are the responsibility of the local authority. Once you begin shoving your oar in, then the work you have done becomes the responsibility of local authority and you could be brought to book for any accidents on that patch of road once you have finished meddling in something that is not your business.

Even if you consider the work not up to standard, you still do not have the authority to go around filling holes in public roads. If the local authority make excuses that there is not enough budget to do a quality job, then make a financial contribution yourself if you are so concerned.

Are you joking? Do you actually believe that if he contributed financially, the job would be completed to a high standard?I think not.

Meanwhile his and others lives are in danger on a daily basis.

The system doesn't work and he isn't eligible to stand for local government.

  5. sorry bit of a misunderstanding on my part I think ! I'm still not sure ! We arrive Dec 29th and we have our flight booked for March 14th back to UK. so when we arrive we get a - 30 day visa exempt entry - correct ! Because we know we are getting only 30 day visa can we extend that without leaving Thailand. Dont they want proof of your leaving !

Txs KhunBENQ x thats my thinking

Just to reiterate that your airline might not let you board unless you can show that you have a flight leaving Thailand within thirty days. Perhaps you can bring your Myanmar trip forward to within thirty days of your arrival. That flight booking will be enough to placate your airline.

When you leave Myanmar, you'll get another 30 day visa exemption, which you can extend whilst in Jomtien for 1900 baht. Alternatively, if you are hanging around in Yangon for a couple of days, you can pick up a Tourist visa there for US$40.

  6. His contact info has already been posted. I'm pretty sure the oral surgeon you mention did my implant. I was very impressed and she even helped me with my very poor bite. Huge help to me....

    I wouldn't use anyone else.

If Gavin is not answering, just call +66 8 6399 3505 to make an appointment with Ms Suwangatte

  7. I can confirm that Phyathai can do the work under General. It didn't add much to the cost of my work. You don't need to contact Gavin if he's not responding.. Just call to make an appointment with Ms Suwangatte, the Oral Surgeon/Implantologist.

I've see if i can find Gavin's number anyway.

    This is it ^^

As small as a packet of ciggies. Very thin.

I carry it with me on the m/c and it never loses the signal. That way I can carry on with wifi or read messages on LINE thast have been sent as I am travelling. Check football live scores and such.

It does automatically go into stand by mode when it is not receiving data. (I wondered why I was losing connection at times when in a static location). Saves battery power. I ran the unit with a full charge for 7 hours.

Small on / off switch on the right side of the green LEDs. Three LEDs (signal strength, wifi on, battery). Battery indicator flashes green on good charge and changes to red when very low.

    Security Type WPA2 PSK

    Radio type 802.11n

    Signal strength excellent.

    Hope this also helps.

I am happy with the unit myself, though it will not suit everyone.

Try this to unlock it: http://tools.texby.com/unlock-codes/huawei/

The you can use it with any SIM.

  9. Over priced! As are others in festival

I may well be wrong but I felt their price promotions were very complicated and Byzantine. There also seemed to be pricing based on number of sticks. People expect all you can eat with churascarias, that's part of the fun. I wonder if they had just stuck to ONE PRICE all the time, all you can eat, whether the offer would have been more coherent to the public (and thus more popular) even if high priced which it would have to be of course.

Never saw these promotions of which you speak. Considering that you "never went there", perhaps you should stop spouting nonsense.

    Monday: Ladies night buffet

Churrascaria buffet inclusive a welcome fruit punch at THB 899 (For ladies only)

Tuesday: Free flow soft drink with buffet

Churrascaria buffet inclusive free flow of soft drink coke, sprite, soda and water unlimited at THB 999

Wednesday & Thursday: Beer buffet dinner

Churrascaria buffet inclusive free flow of beer unlimited 2 hours at THB 1,299

Weekly Special at Zico's Friday, Saturday & Sunday: Wine & Dine with buffet

Churrascaria buffet inclusive free flow wine unlimited 2 hours at

    THB 1,499

  10. Honestly, I never went there.

I do love Churrascaria but was spoiled by the real deal in both Brazil and some places in the U.S.

Years ago there was a sort of OK place in Bangkok and I liked that a few of the items on the buffet part (as opposed to the meat sticks at table which of course is required) were actually Brazilian food.

I had heard that the buffet part at the Pattaya didn't have any Brazilian food.

    Oh well.

You heard wrong. Perhaps you should have gone there, instead of proclaiming that you were "spoiled by the real thing". Even in Brazil, the "real thing" varies considerably. Please stop trying to show off. It's quite dull.

what is the sign-up code for that TRUEMOVE-H 3G "7-eleven" (???) package ? cannot find any Info anywhere. Is there a limit for the 512KB-speed ?

You have to physically walk into a 7-eleven and take a TrueMove-H promotion card off a pegboard display and hand it to a cashier and they give you a receipt code you can enter on the "day" you want to start the service.

Don't know why, but they don't put the used cards (all containing the same identical: scanner code) back on the pegboard till the next day, so sometimes they "run out".

The offer is 512kbps fixed for now.

But as everyone else has changed their 384kbps promotions to limited bytes then 64kbps speed, I expect TrueMove-H to do something similar with this 7-eleven only promotion.

I think he was asking about data limits. I'm curious too if there's any data limit or if it;s truly unlimited at a constant 512 kbps?

I was asking both actually, but will try to check it out myself and get such a card from a pegboard if I find one. will post my experience here then. but again, could easily be the rules are being changed by May 1st, same as the current AIS package I am using recently
