  1. Dear Dr Sheryl, I have visited the same dental center on 7th March 2022 (Monday) to check whether the crown overextended over to my gums and the dentist have physically examined it. My parotid glands (same side with these 2 crowns) have swollen on 10th March and around 2 hours later the swollen has much better. My parotid glands have swollen again this morning (11th March). I do not have a history of the parotid gland swollen. My maxillary labial frenum/muco-gingival line above tooth no. 26th (that has crown) also red. Can you kindly advise whether these parotid glands swollen has related to the dental treatment at the dental center? If so, what are the possible causes? If not, what types of doctor should I visit? It will be great if you can recommend the best one. Thank you so much and have a nice day and weekend ahead!
  2. Thank you so much, Nancyl. Chiang Mai is very far, however if all of your 20 crown or the majority of them were done by her then she is one of the best crown specialists. If so, I should go there. Have a nice day and weekend to you.
  3. Thank you so much, Dr Sheryl. Have a nice and great day to you.
  4. No pain is a blessing. Can you kindly recommend your crown specialist? Is he/she in Bangkok? Thank you.
  5. Thank you, Dr Sheryl. Once bitten, twice shy. How could the tooth crown be the nightmare experience to me? I wish someone who has experience with the tooth/teeth crown can recommend the best professional crown specialist in Bangkok.
  6. Yes, it is still painful however, tolerable until now. The pain has lasted around a few minutes and gone. The previous dentist just simply told me the root canal, if still not ok then the tooth extraction as an alternative. I have no choice but to check it with the next crown specialist when doing another tooth crown. I prefer your personal use, it will be great if you can recommend the crown specialist at the Dental Hospital Bangkok. Thank you, Dr Sheryl.
  7. "Never had a tooth crowned without root canal being done before. I regard it as essential to give the repair a long life. Without it I would expect continued problems with that tooth especially infections under the crown" Quoted from chilly07. IMO, symptom is not a cause nor disease (just effect), however underlying disease is a cause (cause and effect). Nerve send symptom and infections are cause (problem). I went back to the same dentist because he fully charged for it for permanent crown during crown preparation. He said if can't take the pain then have to go for root canal. He didn't seem to know and care for the root cause. I just preferred to save my nerve that has never been the problem, I opted for the crown because there was some chip-off on the old big filling. So I had no choice but to put in the permanent crown 10 days ago. Some short sharp sensitivity pain came and gone after 10 days of permanent crown. It has been a nightmare. I wish it is ok after some time. I have another tooth that was done root canal at the same dental clinics. That tooth need the crown. Can anyone who has knowledge and experience kindly recommend the best crown specialist in Bangkok? Thank you and have a nice day!
  8. No pain before crown, so it is almost impossible to have infection, bad tooth or gum disease. Do you mean infection during the crown preparation and temporary crown?
  9. Wow, I am wondering how many percentage of infections under the crown? Thank you, chilly07.
  10. The tooth is dead without nerves, so I think it is not strong compare to the tooth with nerves. If not, can you elaborate? Thank you, Jobsworth.
  11. Did you mean no pain nor sensitivity after temporary crown? Mine is sensitivity pain after temp crown. Can you kindly describe more detail about your sensitivity (when sensitivity? during eating/drinking (or) ?) and how bad and how could you tolerate it for 2 months? Thank you.
  12. My tooth under temporary crown (the temp crown put on 25th January 2022) is painful, I do not know how to best describe this pain, it is more like sore pain or sensitivity pain when not biting/eating/drinking and tolerable until now. After temp crown put on, there was the gum pain for around 6 days. No more the gum pain after 6 days. The tooth pain is obvious after 11 days from the temp crown put in. This tooth has not done root canal as there is no decay. The tooth is number 25th, number 4th tooth from the back on upper left-hand side. 1) Is it the result of the dentist trimmed too much so expose to the nerve layer (the pulp)? (or) Other possible causes for this pain? 2) Is it ok to go ahead with permanent crown put in? 3) This dentist has advised me if it is too pain then better to do root canal. However, this pain is tolerable until now and I do not wish to do the root canal. What should I do? Can anyone who has knowledge or experience advise? Thank you and have a nice day!
  13. Hi Mr. Joe, A bit confused. They may want to see the original, do you mean original of the other supporting documents? How about original of the insurance cert? (btw, I have not received the original of the insurance certs). Thank you.
  14. Btw, what are the other supporting documents? (I really do not would like to visit CW 2 times). Yes, done for 2 months. Thank you so much, Mr. Joe. Have a nice weekend!
  15. Hi, Re: extension of Non-OA 1) Does the immigration at CW accept photocopy of health insurance? 1b) Which particular page they required? 2) From which particular date 800K THB must be in Thai bank for 3 months? For example, my previous extension expired date is on 20 December 2020 and I have renewed it on 23 November 2020. Have to maintain 800K THB for 3 months from 20 December 2020 or 23 November 2020 and until when (20 March 2021 or 23 February 2021)? My wife put 800K THB as a fixed deposit. 2b) She have withdrew 20000 THB on 21st March 2021 and she updated her bank booklet on yesterday and her statement show that it respected transaction dated on "21st March 2021 at 780000 THB". That mean 20th March 2021 had no transaction (I mean no bank update if there is no transaction) and it had 800K THB in it. I do not speak Thai, so it is very difficult to talk to CW officer. I think it is ok for 3 months. Am I right? Thank you and have a nice day!
  16. I take 4 supplements, 1 tablet each (Blackmores DHA fish oil, Magnesium Citrate 100mg, B12 and B6) around 8PM daily for around 3 years and not on no other medications. I have stopped taking them for around 2 months after 1st month of occurring hives, however, hives still occurred. Is allergy testing a blood test? Thank you so much, Dr. Sheryl.
  17. Thank you for your sharing. What do you mean by "generalised itching"? It is great that you discover the source of itching. Can you kindly share how did you discover it and how the sensitivity has almost disappeared? Btw, congratulations! I wish to know the cause of my chronic hives. Mine is not localized and they are chronic spontaneous hives. I eat very little bread (maybe 10 slices per year maximum).
  18. Do Allergy testing identify the source of the allergy? If not, is there a way to identify the source of the allergy? Thank you so much and have a nice day, Dr. Sheryl.
  19. Yes, they are raised. My wife said she have been using same detergent. My living environment and diet are no change for years. The hives occurs anytime from 7 pm to 12 noon (17 hours) during last 4 months. No occur after 12 noon, maybe due to I applied medicated oil to each of the different affected areas up to 3 times or took Levocitirizine.
  20. Dear Dr. Sheryl, Thank you for your recommendation. I have visited Dr. Niyom 3 days ago. I have shown my hives photo (please see attachment) to him and Dr. Niyom said he don't treat my hives unless he must see my physical hives. I have to take Levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5 mg or Loratadine 10 mg alternate day to prevent hives to flare up. I do not take any of them last night so that the hives to flare up and I can show them to Dr Niyom today (91121). However, the hives flared up around midnight and as usual they are very itchy, I couldn't sleep and I had to keep scratching. I couldn't tolerance it anymore, so I had to take 1 tablet of Levocetirizine. Hence, I do not know how can I show my physical hives to him. I do not would like to take either Levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5 mg or Loratadine 10 mg for long terms as I worry of their side effects. Can you recommend other good dermatologist in Bangkok? Thank you and have a nice day!
  21. Btw, does Thai immigration at CW require Covid-19 cert for extension of Non-OA? Thank you and have a nice day, Joe.
