We have rented out our first house and I am moving today to another district (jangwat) within Chiang Mai. After I registered, at the district office, my new address in my yellow book. Do I then have to visit immigration and change my address by handing in a new tm30???

Which immigration office do you deal with.
Some offices seem to be ignoring the new rule and it's not just up country bush offices.
I think CM might be one.
May have that mixed up but certainly was a large office still insisting on TM30 upon return to home address.
When I arrived in Phuket in September 2021 and later in my hometown of Chiang Mai, I did not do TM 30. I trusted Ubonjoe. When I made my 90-day report, they did not ask for document TM 30.
Immigration Chiang Mai has been good since Big Joke cleared the bumps.- 2

My friend is doing 0-extension on Friday for the first time. Is his TM 6 enough to show address? He has no yellow book. But stay in the house they own together. Arrived about 2 months ago with O-visa spouse - but want to apply for retirement extension. Is TM 6 enough. Or is TM 30 or TM 28 or whatever needed?

Today I made my extension in CNX. I had no problem the last 9 year. First I passed the guard and got number 3024 (no. 24) I was huddled in a tent. After 30 minutes, the young people had checked that I had the right documents . After that, I left the tent and met the officer. He checked the papers. "You have not copy the first page of the passport" -he said. "Well, that page is on page no. 2 in the Income Letter". I answered super nice (in Thai). "Not enough he ansvered me". "But last year you wanted me to take away that page, because you told me to much paper". I replied supernice (in thai). "Ok this time we skip it", he said...with an officer's voice....Many Chinese trampled around but after 40 minutes all clear and really super fast service. I am impressed.
One question. My friend makes 0 extension on Friday for the first time. Is his TM 6 enough for to show adress certificate??? He has 49% ownership of the house and his wife 51% if I understood correctly. And he arrived with O spoused 90 days - but wants to apply for an extension retirement. -
Luckily, the Thai authorities lack competence. Of course, their PCR test would not be needed. The whole world knows that. But now this second PCR test protects the rest of us. Otherwise, millions of tourists would come to a country with only 35% vaccinated. Or are they so smart that they understand it

TM28
in Chiang Mai
25 september. I came back from Phuket Sandbox after 4 month i Sweden. IO Chiangmai give me back my passport.. No need for Tm 30 if you still are living on the same adress. Why? Because of covid 19.

I went with Finair - about 50 people

I'm going back to Stockholm. Do you need a PCR test when transferring via Doha? I see that they want 48 our PCR test in Frankfurt and Copenhagen. And that makes it difficult to fly with Thai Air, back to Sweden. Many Scandinavians return after 6-9 months in LOS. To meet parents, children and maybe get vaccinated ....... but many rules change often ........ and differ from country to country ..... I appreciate some advice before I start booking.

Big Joke is my hero, here in Chiangmai. He changed the whole bad organisation for immigration here in Chiangmai. 3 big (not interested doing good service for people) officiers he took away and send them to work in BKK. He told that no more queues in the morning 3.00 a clocḱ. Before i had to sit on a chair outside IO 4.00 - and that was terrible. He told the stab: If you dont fix this you have to work faster, open for lunch and even open in the evening to 20.00 pm. Wow. And so it was. Everything changed - it was like a miracle. And still we have good service. But of course i feel more safty with him as a leader of immigration. BJ. He is my hero.

Yesterday this happen to me att closed to a Temple. I pass, this area, many times but yesterday around 17.00 it was about 15 dogs and I came with a high speed....every dog start barking and one dog, almost bite my leg...ooo I got a little scratch....no blood.... I try to get away as fast as I could. One car stopped and a man saw my situation.....start shouting....jissus I was scared.....but I got away. Some advise here said stop and talk calm with the dogs. <deleted>. Never in my life I will stopp when 15 dogs attack me. Before it use to be maybe , 4-5 dogs in front of that Temple but now it was so many.
I had problem some times before. Always in front of the Temples. Many dog have meeting there and maybe wait for food. In the future i think best advice from people in this forum, is water and vineager. Maybe I will try. I hate dogs.

In my case I apply (I filled in a Declaration form) for a COE based on retirement extension. I am married and that made everything possible. Many years ago I started with a Non O-visa retirement, that of course changed to an extension. As some one says many embassies are not familiar with 'extensions of stay”. When I called RTE Stockholm they ask me what kind of ViSA I had and when it expires. I told them 6 th of december and in my passport I read Non O visa. Ok you are OK for a COE but we want more documents. I don't have to apply for a new Visa. So, I applied for COE and that is what you should start with. It took 4 days after I had applied and they send E-mail back, that everything was OK. 5 weeks after that they called me about the flight. And now I am here in Chiangmai.

Thank you Ubonjoe - a heavy stone fell from my heart because I interpreted the rules so .... but felt rising anxiety...about people writing...I will go on live on my hope...

If you married to a thai and have all the family document for that and on retirement visa - why cant you get a repapriated flight? I think its the family situation that makes it possibly. But i dont know - I only knows that RTE Stockhom told me I am in the queue.....

Thanks for your information. Very good information for me, because I am on my way back from Stockholm to Chiang Mai. As soon as I can...and I am not crazy going back instead of waiting for better times.....But no Air yetfrom Stockholm. And every ASQ hotel is full booked! One question. Did you pay flight and hotel in advanced or is it OK only book them?

We have house in Hang Dong and San Pa Tong. My wife is a builder with contact with the best of Changs (poolbuilder now also). She is building a pool now. First price she got was 800 000 bath. Then 600.000 bath and now she is building the pool (her self) total cost 350 000 bath! But she have to change people many times for getting the best work done. The pool..hm..I think is about 8m long and 3,5 m wide. Its almost finish so if you want to take look you can do. Email me in that case.

Nowdays, well it started for about 1 month ago.......at the bottom in the right corner, a lot of commercial starts....popping up. Its very annoying. How to get rid of that? I can accept and understand that Thaivisa needs some advertisers. But this is bad.

Terribly traffic in the north of the city. We lived Hang Dong but moved to San Pa Tong..less traffic so you can bike everywhere and close to the mountains....It takes 50 minutes to the city and 40 minutes to airport.

No appointment is needed.
You will get a 90 day visa exempt entry and your wife will get 30 days.
After those 90 days - is possibly to go for extension 1 year based on spouse - I can do that 30 days before it will expire
-
My wife rent out house for 6 month what is your advice för her to do?
-
Correct - I change the reason for stay. My extension of stay expire 24/12. A lot of tourist at those days so if I apply for that change now - I also change from december to october for my annual extension of stay?
I dont want to move that amount of money,to a Bank here. Is it ok if I can show my month incom > 65 000 bath?
Somebody says that I have to show document about I havent done crime? Or maybe in the TM7 form I can read myself what require.
I appreciate your answer ubonjoe? Thanks.

I have a married visa O and want to change to a retired visa O. What paper do I have to complete with?
Can I start to do this 30 days before I do my extansion ?
And is there some importent things I have to think about.
My reason, it is more easy and then I dont have to go to Airport Chiangmai. I like Promenada better.
/I try to find threads - but didnt

Well I want to change extension to stay based on married to retired because I dont want to go back one more time (30 days after) to IO.
If I knew this trouble about spouse visa I wouldnt apply for in teh first time (2 years ago). I am over 50. I wont work. I have pension over 100.000 bath/month.
Next year I will change this to retirment. And save time. And save papperwork. Tell me. Do I think wrong?

I don't like most instants and definitely want to control my own sugar level so I use the Vietnamese pot for single servings of "real" coffee and love it.
After my return from Vietnam I startet to make my own coffe. The same as you do.
Very Very tasty. Easy when you by your self.
I have one question csabo?
My Vietnam coffe is empty now. Does anyone knows som coffeshop (Chiangmai) to buy coffe? In that case - what kind of coffe do you recommend?

I asked at the immigration office (spoken Thai) if I had to do this when I returned from Sweden September 2022. Yes! They answered. Got a receipt. Took 10 minutes. Floor 2 Chiangmai Immigration.
