Taxi from airport to Lamai Beach

My experience is that the taxis from the airport transport desk are the way to go. They are not cheap, but the prices are fixed and published. If you walk to the main road and flag a taxi down you have no idea what pricing you will get. I would argue that the probability of getting it much cheaper is rather low. -
May I ask when this happened? To my knowledge the TM30 was still in full swing and I have not seen anything announced . I even know people who recently had issues when they tried to get a residency confirmation for the LTO and had to jump through hoops because they did not fill a TM30 in the last 2 years.

things will change, starting Sep 5th fines for not wearing a helmet will go from THB 500 to 2,000, that will bring the old bill out. Can't wait for the farangs to pop up on social media saying how unfair it is to be fined for not following the law.
