  1. I know 'how long is a piece of Thai string' but has anyone got any idea of a completion date for the mud-bath currently outside Grand Avenue and Korandos?  I am over in mid November and not sure whether to pack wellies or trainers...

Also, is there another entrance to Grand Avenue condos, apart from the one next to Korandos?  Is there a side or rear entrance to the complex?

  2. Thanks gents.  Sorry Dr Jack yes currently unmarried and 15 years going strong, but obviously willing to change that to allow a move.

I also need to look into my spouse being able to draw on my private pension as that is where our main income will come from.

She's 1 year for being able to draw a pension, just unsure if she can draw/share mine if we were to marry.

  3. I know the retirement visa requirements are being over 50 and having a certain income, or 800k baht in a Thai bank account.
what’s the rules around a western (U.K.) couple where she is over 50, but the male partner is under 50?  Is this possible?
And would the couple need to be married?
both would be able to have 800k in a Thai account prior to application

    thanks all in advance

  4. We’ve got a return flight booked from Suvarnabhumi to Koh Samui in November with Bangkok Airways.  When we booked it we paid for an additional +10Kg luggage each.

wondering if I’ve done it right, does that mean only 10Kg each, hold luggage? Or +10Kg on normal allowance?  We are travelling for a month so both suitcases will be 30Kg. Do I need to log on and amend my booking please?

  5. We arrive in Thailand in 4 weeks time on a Sunday about 4pm.  Will be wanting a taxi to Ayutthaya, where’s best to get one please?  Pre-book?  Or normal taxi rank?
we usually head south when we arrive and a friend picks us up, so this is our first time needing transport from the airport.

    Many thanks in advance

Just part and parcel of getting sick in the tropics of Thailand, I got this around October/November a few years back.

I doubt it would have been the Coronavirus. If you took antibiotics and were better, then you definitely know it wasn't the Coronavirus.

Self medicated from a local Pharmacy but it took 4 weeks to get any better, then a few weeks back home til it eased enough to go about a normal routine. Usually my chest infections clear with meds after a week or so

  7. AS above, asking as was out there or 2 weeks and had the WORST cough/chest infection ever, (we’re both physically fit in our early 40’s), a local guy (westerner who lives there) told us it was the AQI (poor air quality) but we visit every year and never suffered before in ten or more years. Plus a lot of thai friends we have out there (shop owners, girls and Thai gf’s of people we know) were really ill or in hospital with similar symptoms

JUST wondered really, or if anyone else saw this back in November as well?

Try Soi Chalerm 19 off Soi Buakhao near Vics Place. New clinic there with a great doctor as long as you’re presenting with the appropriate symptoms/ailments????????????

It is always a good idea to be nice and humble????????????

    Pattaya

    Hi Jack7106

Hope you dont mind me asking, I'm coming out to Pattaya next weekend for 3 weeks and currently use a hybrid CBD oil (both Sativa and Indica) back home in the UK and dont want to bring a pot with me for obvious reasons.

Is this something I can just walk into the clinic you mentioned and purchase?  For anxiety and poor sleep?

Please guys do not hijack this thread with non Thailand pixs. Just to get us back on track. It does have a Thai license plate. Ferrari F430.

Normally see these parked up outside the Sala in Ayutthaya, while their talcum powder faced Thai owners spend 4 hours photographing and 'IG'ing' (whatever that is...) the overpriced meals they order, just so they could filter the life out of them before posting them for all to see

    Nice car though ????

  10. We are due to visit Thailand and my partner smokes and was wondering can you buy genuine branded cigarettes in Thailand (probably the most stupid question ever asked I know)

Having never smoked, i never paid any attention to it on my earlier visits
