And why they shouldn't let anyone in. Or allow them to stay.
I didn't ask why, asked how, as a few other countries closer to chose from, with a few in between Uyghur & TH.
TH - 3000+ kms, direct air, LOS. About 5 other counties <500 kms away, and had to pass thru 4 countries to get to TH.
Like people from South of USA, asking for asylum, when they passed thru Mexico to get there. You're out of your oppressive area, so ask ASAP.
Entering illegally, you have no rights to anything. Some countries send you adrift, or so I read. Or slave camps.
They actually thought the authoritarian military Junta would be any different from the authoritarian one they left.
Guessing he refused to be returned to China with the others back in 2015. Would think, guessing, he got offered to return or stay in prison here.
You have already had the answer from others, yet here you are fixated on it still.
Also, there is no legal requirement for a refugee to claim asylum in any particular country. The 1951 Refugee Convention does not require a refugee to claim asylum in one country rather than another. There is no rule requiring refugees to claim in the first safe country in which they arrive. Pretty sure Thailand has signed up to the convention, but I may be wrong.

Going with some guy she doesn’t know to his apartment. What could go wrong?
But she did know them, they weren't complete strangers.

"...how is this a Chinese plot?"
By her also being Chinese! And possibly having obtained her Thai citizenship nefariously.
She also could have just come here and got married and it wasn't a "Chinese plot" - I mean we are talking the Thai plod here

The deputy national police chief also highlighted the case of a Chinese woman who arrived here 35 years ago and set up an extensive transnational criminal empire engaged in providing surrogate Thai children to Chinese nationals. He outlined how the woman has amassed a fortune of billions of baht which Thai authorities cannot reach as she, in a move which General Surachate is convinced must have been planned from the outset, made sure all the assets were tied up in bona fide business concerns owned by her three Thai children who are strictly engaged in honest and legitimate commercial enterprises in the country including a well regarded Thai insurance company with over ฿600 million a year in income.
So she is now a Thai citizen, her kids are Thai and they have legitimate businesses... how is this a Chinese plot?

They are incredibly intrusive on main roads, blocking the line of sight from side roads a lot of the time.

But i dont live in Pattaya i never go to that dump.
Pattaya is a sewer full of old sexpats, prostitutes. pedos and criminals, Its always been that way.
Lay down with dogs and you'll catch fleas.
I got asked in Kanchanaburi, there was a gang of immigration all dressed up in their SWAT style uniforms randomly harassing tourists. around the River Kwai bridge. I was with my friend from the UK who was over for a short trip. They basically surrounded us, asked to see our passports, were told they were at the hotel and I showed them photos of mine (my friend didn't have photos) so they started talking about escorting her back to the hotel. Managed to talk them around to not doing that, and that was after they quizzed me about what counter at Changwattana deals with my kind of extension. It was a complete farce and my friend just said, 'WTF was that about?' after. Oh, and the cherry on the cake, they wanted a photo with us after, all smiles and look what a great job we are doing.
So, it ain't just in Pattaya that this clown show happens.

what I can not get in my head is having a Forza in heavy trafficked areas or for touring purposes, I see no advantages at all comparing to other bikes, except for those with short legs.
Forzas are fine in traffic, and they are great for touring, I did Bangkok to Chiang Mai via Mae Sot and Mae Hong Song on a Forza 300 (the modern model) and it was great. No need for panniers or bags, as everything went under the seat, was fine on the highway parts, and great on the back roads. Very comfortable as well, and I am 6' 2"

I personally don't like to ride a bike just to ride a bike, especially for hours
Oh dear, had to laugh as someone who has owned and ridden 1000cc bikes and has also done huge road trips on a Forza. Have respect for anyone who gets out there and rides, but doesn't act snobbish towards what others ride.
